Never been a fan of Fosters but isn't SAB Miller the same company that ruined and then dropped Molson Golden Ale the best thing that ever came out of Canada?

When I drink beer it's usually Busch, but only because it's the best available in Taiwan.

Seriously.

Most beer is brewed by TTL -- Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor -- owned by the government. It's just what you imagine beer would be like from a socialistic committee of government bureaucrats.

That means Busch and Miller are top shelf.

Learned about beer while living in Germany; Bichoff was the local brand. My choice in America was various microbrews. I was partial Boulevard Pils.

Australlians don't even drink Fosters :P Just like Mexicans don't really drink Corona. Every Australian I've met and asked if they drink Fosters laughed at me.

The Aussie Government probably approved the sale so they can get it off their books :P

Just like Budweiser, they make crappy beer and the company is no loner the "national label".

If you can see thru it, it ain't beer, it is cat piss (or in the case of Bud, Miller and PBR, rat piss).

Drink Guiness if you want a pint of real beer.

Brew your own. You'll be happier.

There are about a million excellent beers on the market, from every corner of the globe, including, most likely, (your home town here). Why anyone intentionally drinks Foster's, or Miller Lite, or Busch*, or Old Milwaukee, or Coors, or Corona, or even Heineken is beyond me. They're all bland.

Now, let me be clear. Almost any beer is fine ice cold on a hot day, and believe me, I've put away my share of the mainstream brews, but if I have a choice, and an extra buck or two won't kill me, I like to pick something with flavor. More and more beer drinkers are going that direction as well.

*Vern, I will give you a pass on the Busch since your choices are limited.
