Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

In a speech at the Holy Land Experience religious theme park in Orlando Friday, Herman Cain told a story about being afraid that one of his cancer surgeons was a non-Christian because he had the last name Abdallah. "I said to his physician assistant, I said, 'That sounds foreign' -- not that I had anything against foreign doctors -- but it sounded too foreign," Cain said. "She said, 'He's from Lebanon.' Oh, Lebanon! My mind immediately started thinking, wait a minute, maybe his religious persuasion is different than mine!"

This can't be real.

.

I'm beginning to think Herman Cain is Boaz.

"One of the biggest crises in this country is a moral crisis," he goes on to say. "We've lost our moral compass. We need to get it back. One of the reasons I'm running is because I plan to bring that moral compass back to this country."

His compass obviously points to caucasian pussy.

"His compass obviously points to caucasian pussy."

He's from Detroit?

Holy Land Experience is a real place apparently. But this still sounds like bullshit.

have you ever seen that place? there's been a few documentaries about it--it's in Maher's Religulous, actually it's in there a bit ad he talks to the "actors." it's pathetic sacrilegious bullshit just like Cain.

.... "Cain Feared Non-Christian Doctor"?

**** But Cain Enthusiastically Embraced Right Wing "War Monger" Henry Kissinger who masses of documents have proven to be "EVIL PERSONIFIED"!!!

I won't judge since I only trust Hymie doctors to slice me open

"have you ever seen that place?"

I saw some pictures when I Googled to see if it is real.

The Jesus on a motorcycle pictured in the article just seemed too fake to me. Reminds me of the Buddy Christ from Dogma.

en.wikipedia.org

Plus Jesus didn't have angel wings...

Cain made a campaign stop Friday at The Holy Land Experience, a Christian-theme amusement park in central Florida where visitors pay $35 to watch a reenactment of the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ just minutes from Disney World.

In the park, which is run by the religious television station Trinity Broadcasting Network, employees dressed as shepherd boys, pharisees, Roman soldiers and merchants from first-century Israel lead the faithful on tours through the re-created streets of old Jerusalem, perform re-enactment shows and serve as baristas in the coffee shop. Over the course of a day at Holy Land, you can take communion--fed to you from the hand of a bearded actor playing Christ with flowing brown hair--browse an impressive collection of early Bibles, rock out to praise-song karaoke, get baptized and even have your picture taken with Jesus on a Harley

If even half of that is true that's fucked up.

And Christians wonder why normal people laugh at them.

Has anyone verified this? It can't be true.

He doesn't want a witch doctor, but a Dr Pusher is fine. Someone who will kill it (reitze) with chemicals and radiation rather than heal it with TLC and nutrition.

What's sad is that they were probably trying to "heal you" with nutrition for years.

You were just too dense to know it.

Lol, jpw, you mean me? No I only went to one of those dangerous doctors to get a blood test - and in the process got his pile of BULL shit.

So you only went to a doctor that one time? Never before? No doctor EVER gave you advice prior to your incident in an attempt to be proactive?

Now that would maybe be fair if there were actually Caucasians left in Detroit...

"Cain Says He Feared Non-Christian Doctor, Pandering to White Conservative Pants-Pissers".

It's a bit wordy, but it's fixt.

Yeah, I'm starting to lean to this being fake. every article only cites the original which is a blog.

"Cain Says He Feared Non-Christian Doctor, Pandering to White Conservative Pants-Pissers".
He should have started his fears with his Dr. Instead he tries to look fearless while being superstitious about his source of advice - while not using his own brain to evaluate that advice... fits perfectly to the bigger fuck up of Insured Death (HCR).

So you only went to a doctor that one time? Never before? No doctor EVER gave you advice prior to your incident in an attempt to be proactive?

I've not received very much GOOD advice from Drs, and have attended many Dr sessions with family/friends - and saved them from major crap many times (eg: most recently saved mom from antibiotics over shingles while her digestive track was already wiped-out by antibiotics).

Before seeing the Dr for the blood-work about Type 2 (2008), the last Dr I saw was in the mid 1990s - I got some cream for that same rash that ultimately went away after reversing Type 2 in 2008. Before the Dr's cream was gone I had figured out sparing use of the commercial cream worked better while too much was worse.

Before that the last Dr I saw was in the mid 1980s for employment screening and college admissions (imun records, etc). The school Dr did tell me I'd never walk right again after a knee sprain (in about 6 weeks it was fine).

I DIDN't see a DR in 1999 when I went to the hospital for a bee sting. The emerg room told me to wait for armpit swelling to become dangerous while Dr was unavailable and hospital rules forbid drugs w/o dr says... I left and went to a pharmasy and got benedrill with some good advice.

Plus with some family and friends in the medical industries I've seen a lot of abuses 1st hand too.

I perceive a SERIOUS SET of CONFLICT OF INTERESTs between the individual health and the Dr's profit motive, communication techniques, monitization methods, personal motives.

Along the lines of what you've said, I've found a good pharmacist tremendously helpful. I also make it a point to see the nurse practitioner rather than the doc -- in fact I drive way to hell and gone out of my way to see the nurse practitioner -- who seems to have (a) more time and (b) greater interest in patients. I realize this is an individual situation and not necessarily generally applicable.

Holy Land Experience is real. I've driven by it many times in Orlando.

Cain has told this scary Muslim-named doctor story before:

youtube.com

He thinks it's charming.

The degree to which Herman Cain is obviously -- and smugly (watch the tape) -- proud of his provincialism and ignorance is something I still find a bit baffling.

...the nurse practitioner rather than the doc

Thanks Doc. BTW, the ultimate good advice is simply THE TRUTH. Doctors don't own that.

People OWN their own health. IMHO that's why INALIANABLE RIGHTS matter so much. Those make Cain a no-go. Inalienable rights include anything going into/out of the body such as drugs, fetuses, and shit. These are covered by the combination of the declaration of independence and the constitution together - in contrast to selective trumpeting bullshit to get elected.

Doctors certainly have their role. But as a nurse once told me, "You hire them, you can fire them." I think that used to be a bit easier to do than it is these days, what with the HMOs. But still possible.

You know, the more I hear about this the more I laugh. Half my doctors are not "Christian". The Europeans don't want to come here any more. The American's can't get in to Medical school (or can't afford it). That leaves the Middle East to China where people have enough money and / or access to get an education as a Doctor and then they come here.

Scary thought - a lot of them come from the land of Tosser. 3. 2. 1. ...

proud of his provincialism and ignorance is something I still find a bit baffling.

Methinks you are being a little too generous. You know as well as i do that what you described is the hallmark of the teabaggers.

Ignorant and proud of it.

"He thinks it's charming."

It is. The way the simple words of the town fool are charming to many.

How many more retarded things is this guy allowed to say before he disappears? Is he still even polling well, or is the media just in it for the crazy at this point?

The amount of media attention this guy with zero political experience steals from legitimate candidates like Gary Johnson is staggering. The continued downfall of our country can be blamed on the major news networks as much as anyone at this point.

"The amount of media attention this guy with zero political experience steals from legitimate candidates like Gary Johnson is staggering."

Herman Cain has gotten far more airtime between June 1 and October 10 than any other Republican presidential candidate on Fox News Channel.

There's a video at that link with the hour totals.

"The amount of media attention this guy with zero political experience steals from legitimate candidates like Gary Johnson is staggering."

News is entertainment now and train wrecks are entertaining. Plus, he may be polling well. There are people here whose knee-jerk reaction is to defend every stupid thing he says...

cain? that sounds foreign.. wasn't cain the first murderer?

don't worry.. he's a douche.

I drive way to hell and gone out of my way to see the nurse practitioner -- who seems to have (a) more time and (b) greater interest in patients. I realize this is an individual situation and not necessarily generally applicable.

Me too, and I hear it so much from other people it probably is generally applicable. My NP is more like a throw back to the days of house call on horse-buggy MDs. You don't have to take 47 fucking test to get some skin cream, antibiotics, or a flu shot. I get a call from her at least once every couple of months just to see if everything is well.

She's also an atheist and I wouldn't want it any other way. So I sorta see Cain's point. My bartender, postman, or grocer can believe whatever they want, but I don't want the person responsible for my well-being to be under the assumption they are working with a net.

Everyone knows if you need a doctor, get a Jew! This guy is just too damn stupid for his own good.

"Everyone knows if you need a doctor, get a Jew!"

times have changed.

if you want a doctor. go indian.

if you want a lawyer.. still go jew.

if you want a banker go jew.. but if you want to have a modern bank with high tech infrastructure, make sure you hire a LOT of indians.

;)

"... or is the media just in it for the crazy at this point?"

Rationality makes for poor ratings.

It's all real-even the whipping post. But Jeebus looks like an OWS member:

www.holylandexperience.com

I think Cain is a false flag waved by Fox.
Promote Cain and keep upping the crazy.
Public associates black presidential candidates with crazy.
Mission Accomplished.

Quick poll: Who here would be nervous if the doctor was named Tosser?

"Quick poll: Who here would be nervous if the doctor was named Tosser?"

Yeah, buts that just because i hear he conducts prostrate exams with a hand on each of your shoulders.

Where do we sign up?

Wissy and KBM

People of all religions have a certain avoidance for certain doctors outside of their comfort zone. Did you know that Muslim women do not feel comfortable seeing a male doctor? If I as a patient, do not feel comfortable with my doctor, I have the right to speak about my concerns, no matter what they are. Muslims seek out Muslim doctors. Do Christians and Jews in this country, have the same right? This is the silliest blog on here, yet.

If Cain wasn't running for president no one would give a shit. He and Boaz could both go strictly to a white concervative republican doctor.

The fact that our representative to the world could be an incompitant phobic moron baffles my mind.

Hell!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't go to a witch doctor for my cancer treatment either.

Cain first became suspicious when the doctor claimed he had "Ooo-eee-ooo-ah-ah" and recommended "ching-chang walla walla bing bang" as a treatment option.
