The judge who allowed former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky to be freed on $100,000 unsecured bail on charges he sexually abused eight boys volunteered for his Second Mile charity, the sports site Deadspin discovered. Unsecured bail means that no money has to be paid unless the defendant does not show up for trial. "I have never had a client who was charged with those counts released on unsecured bail," a Pennsylvania criminal defense attorney told Deadspin.
