The Senate on Monday night reached a bipartisan agreement intended to end a dispute over disaster relief spending that threatened to cause a partial shutdown of the government at the end of the week. The measures now go to the House, which must approve them to ensure the government continues to be funded after the end of the current fiscal year at midnight Friday. "It is hard to see how the House Republicans could reject this proposal," said Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), noting the bipartisan 79-12 vote in the Senate.

How many days until the next "crisis"?

ahhh cool. Pass the bong.

Enjoy it while you can baggers..

Soon you will have to buy health care insurance...
No more skipping out on your medical bills and having the tax payers pick up your expenses...

your free ride is almost over!

Bleah, my CMSP is fool proof. Don't have to buy it. And the free ride continues.

They better get an agreement, especially on this disaster relief. We have given enough money to other countries, without hesitation, for disaster relief.....Do not take it away from Americans. Enough is enough!.. Wonder why congress isn't taking a pay cut? But thats the GOP for you,cut cut as long as its not mine....

Senate Deal Averts Shutdown

Good.

The gov could get the money for disaster relief from the post office. They only need to run 3 days a week instead of 6.... Most of the mail is junk mail anyway.. An while were at it,why can't we drop the number of congressman and senators down to one from each state for both of them..

I guess thats too easy...

Only because a kot of dem senators are up for reelection. If it wasn't for
That they would have taken it to the brink and tried to blame Rep like last
Time.

AH...Chuckie Schumer crawls out from under a rock following the humiliating resignation of his protege Anthony Weiner and the loss of his seat to a Republican. And why isn't he out on Wall St. protesting with his peeps?

Yes, it seem we have another TEMPORARY fix.

seem=seems

The House could still screw it all up.

Yes, it seem we have another TEMPORARY fix.

I suppose we'll need the JEWS...ah..um...janitors to clean up this mess.

This dickweed puts the same post on a dozen threads. This must be his 20th round.

I want to know when Rogers is going to shut him down. Clearly, flagging his comments accomplishes nothing.

#3, 15-16, its just a communist idiot licking Maobama's boobs.

The Washington "establishment" (D and R) will never... EVER do the right thing. IMAGINE!! The very idea of reducing government spending! It's not even on the fucking table.

',,,However, Democrats opposed a provision in the House measure that cut other spending to offset some of the additional emergency aid for the rest of the current fiscal year...'

"And why isn't he (Schumer) out on Wall St. protesting with his peeps?"

Because he is trying to keep them from running to Romney. One more 2008 spigot the loser in chief has had turned off.

All the congress has to do is pass a law no insurance no service..
Why keep letting the tax payers get stuck paying the bills for these people...

enough already!

Anyone could put 20 years in the army like I did. 1960 to 1980 and get their Gov health care if I could do it anyone can..

Government spending has reached such indefensible levels that they have fallen into a cycle of approving tiny bits of it at a time, under the guise of a "shutdown" if their next round of bloat isn't approved. Let's see the cowards in Congress pass a real budget that covers a full fiscal year and defend everything in it. They'll probably never do it again in my lifetime.

People use the system for their own gains..
always have and always will...

Oh, I see, JOE. You've created a Liberal cabal out of all of this. It's all the world like there's no Tea Bagger elected to Congress, and that they've spent all their time singing hymns and teaching Sunday school.

The model is closer to what happens between estranged parents. The one attempts to tell the other that he or she can't have the kids for visitation until he or she does this or that.

And then dares he or she to take him or her to the judge and resolve it legally.

You've created a Liberal cabal out of all of this

This is about the amount of spending in the federal budget. Republicans and Democrats have all contributed to the problem. Despite your incessant need for partisan bickering, the fact remains that neither party is willing to defend the amount of spending in the budget.

Look again these people in congress and the senate made muti millions.Do you really think they wanted these jobs for the base pay....

the fact remains that neither party is willing to defend the amount of spending in the budget.

Honest people can have an honest disagreement in regards to public spending.

However, I don't know what to say concerning TP hooliganism in regards to such things, except that I agree with an analysis I've heard more than once elsewhere, that the last several elections have been "make it work" elections, not "infantile manipulation" elections.

Oh, thank goodness.... I was so worried there would be no agreement.

Hey Look! A bird!

"Senate Deal Averts Shutdown"

'The Senate on Monday night reached a bipartisan agreement intended to end a dispute over disaster relief spending that threatened to cause a partial shutdown of the government at the end of the week.'

Move over Zeddy and Dooner, you have company....

Zed, I don't even understand what the fuck you are talking about. You make absolutely no sense. If anyone with a brain would like to react to my post, I'd be happy to engage. Zed, go shoot yourself.

The gov could get the money for disaster relief from the post office

They could also get it, and a lot more, by mothballing one carrier task force.

Zed, go shoot yourself.

Tea Partier, are we?

"However, I don't know what to say concerning TP hooliganism in regards to such things"

Look at the Teaparty as the wards in a rehab center for addicts. The Dems in DC are addicted to spending. Like any addict they try and find anyway or excuse to use again, and get pissed at anyone who prevents them. They make up all kinds of shit to get their way and will continue to do so until they finally break the addiction.

Thank you so much "Crispee" for replaying my post...

Its good to see the truth isn't it...

".. An while were at it,why can't we drop the number of congressman and senators down to one from each state for both of them..."

There's that little matter of the Constitution to consider....

Constitution? Oh the one wealthy white men wrote..

no thanks

Look at the Teaparty as the wards in a rehab center for addicts.

Real "wards" would get fired for being unprofessional.

Wanting to spend money to help your own citizens with disaster relief is not a sign of addiction.

Putting roadblocks in the way of perhaps the most natural function of government is a sign of something. I want to say short-sighted assholism, but I may have worn out that descriptor.

There's that little matter of the Constitution to consider....

Let's just make Congress unicameral. That'll teach the bastards.

"Look at the Teaparty as wards in a rehab center for addicts." CRISPEE
They only work when there's a Dem in the White House.

"Real "wards" would get fired for being unprofessional."

So you need a definition of "wards" Zeddy?

From you? You'd get it wrong.

Too Bad.

Now Government Bureaucrat minions, nannies, continue their dogged control, their stealing of our money and our freedoms.
