I have been saying all along that there is more certainty for businesses in the US than there is in China. Anyone could see this happening. Personally, I don't feel bad for any company that moved operations to China and is now getting screwed - they took the risk and are now paying.

Roundeye go home!

File this under "No Shit, Sherlock".

But let's not expect our sellout politicians to do anything about it.

It's Socialist for American workers to want jobs brought back from Communist China.

Wow, had no idea this could happen in a country like China.

#4 No, it'd be protectionist, which works just about as well as socialism (i.e, it doesn't).

"No, it'd be protectionist, which works just about as well as socialism (i.e, it doesn't)."

Yeah, it only worked for about 200 years in this country.

It's not protectionism when it levels the playing field. Free trade is a wonderful ideal but when we have free trade and the other side does not then your making our team play with one hand tied behind our back.

#7 I agree to an extent. It's all a matter of degree. Smoot–Hawley fucked us over big, and we shouldn't let protectionism lead us down that path again.

The administration will funnel money to them somehow.

Do you really think they will come here?

Protectionism is currently working pretty well for the Chinese.

I wouldn't expect too many cons to show up for this thread. A lot of them are camped out at WalMart for the long weekend.

Danni wants to pay $30 for a pair of underwear

Vernon has so much faith in American workers that he thinks that if Americans made underwear we would have to charge $30.00. Why is it that the right wingers who love to wrap themselves with the flag really despise Americans?

We would have to charge 30.00, afterall, the unions needs their cut. Oh wait, unions are the reason for the loss of jobs in the first place.

Chances are that you make as much money as you do because of something a union did.

Chances are that you receive many of the benefits you do because of something a union did.

Your job is probably not as hazardous because of a union.

Damn those unions!
