Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Colorado Republican gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes said at a campaign rally last week that Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper's effort to boost bike riding "could threaten our personal freedoms." Maes added, "At first, I thought, 'Gosh, public transportation, what's wrong with that, and what's wrong with people parking their cars and riding their bikes? And what's wrong with incentives for green cars?' But if you do your homework and research, you realize ICLEI is part of a greater strategy to rein in American cities under a United Nations treaty."

A Dem is worried Guam will capsize if too many people are stationed there.
A GOPer is worried that promotion of riding bikes will lead to UN domination.

Stupid comes in all political shades.

On your bike.

My, that's quite a conspiracy theory. The GOP seems to get more black helo every day. It is terribly enjoyable when you string them all together. Maes, Angle, Paul, Bachmann, Gohmert... you get the idea.

Ah ha! Ahhh ha ha ha ha ha! Oi! I can't take it! (my side hurts!...) Never! mever! NEEEEEEEVER! have I been so amazed at these republican idiots!

LOL!!!

Every "right hook" that Hickenlooper (Democratic Mayor of Denver, now running for Governor" takes, a few 100 more Conservatives wake up! All of the Conservative candidates in Colorado are all around the Looper throwing right hooks at the rate of a few a day. At this rate with the awakened Conservatives waking up others, ANY Conservative will easily beat the Looper. Except for Scott McInnis who is all but out of the race.

Go ahead and keep the idiot comments coming Moder8, it's funny.

This doesn't help Hickenlooper in the Colorado governors race.

I'm laughing at you!

Dan Maes has no chance of winning with the other strong Conservative candidates coming in. But he is doing his part to beat Hickenlooper.

How ignorant can you Libs be?

Stupid comes in all political shades.

His evil ride-your-bike agenda?

what the hell are you talking about eddie? show some expamples of "right hooks" that are thrown multiple times a day. i live in lakewood co, just west of denver. so please enlighten me.

also those bikes you afraid of are, wait for it,,,,,,,,RED.

I gave a final exam persuasive speech in Communications once... The theme was that you all should recycle, ride bicycles, separate your trash, conserve electricity, use less gas, drive less, pay more than you do in taxes....Do all the nice Liberal things.

The instructor, a flaming Liberal and part-time adjunct professor was beaming with pride and joy through the presentation as this former military conservative appeared to have seen the light.

The conclusion to the speech was, of course, Because the more of these things you do, the less I have to! It was awesome to see the shocked, hurt and disappointed look on her face...

She tried to give me a C in the class, though it was one of the best speeches of the year - I appealed to her department chair and ended up with an A-. I think she was a little upset.

More batshit crazy from the Grey Old Party.

The bike riding promoters are the same ones who want to plant chips in people's heads.

More than can be said of your posts.

On topic: YES, REPUBLICANS ARE FUCKING RETARDED.

If you take away the bicycles then only the cremnels will have bicycles. Butch Cassidy rode a bicycle and he was a cremnel.

I think more people should ride bikes - it will make my gas and insurance cost a lot less.
