Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

WASHINGTON -- South Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz will help lead a nationwide Democratic campaign this fall that will try to tie Republican candidates to extreme elements of the Tea Party movement.

The Weston Democrat's prominent role reflects her emergence as a rising party leader, and she said her travel schedule will reflect her commitment to the party's effort to retain control of Congress.

"I'm running for re-election in my own district, and I'm going to spend plenty of time there," Wasserman Schultz said after the announcement. "But I'm also going to spend time around the country trying to help my colleagues who are in tough races get re-elected and also Democratic candidates who want to bring about the change that Americans asked for in 2008."

I think she's trying to consolidate the Democrats in her own race, but screwing it up for Democrats in trouble around the country.

Nice going Debbie.

lmao!

Tying the GOP to the Tp has got to be the easiest job anyone ever had.

Can you say, Dick Armey?

Besides, the commecial is already out....

I'm sure the Repubs and the Tea Partiers are staying up late nights, as to how they can possibly counter the forthcoming intellectual onslaught of . . . who is it? . . . Deb something? . . . of Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Helping Democratic candidates get re-elected. Isn't that something Obama's supposed to be doing? Have things gotten so bad that they're sending out a "rising star" from Miami, instead of the Messiah from Chicago?

Whatever.

"At a press conference on Wednesday, national Democratic Chairman Tim Kaine, along with Wasserman Schultz and five other party leaders, displayed a mock "Republican Tea Party Contract on America," "

Yes these are the type of people who should lead our country. People who can't support the decisions they have made or the votes they have taken. They are only capable of tearing down others with fake ad's. When did the Democrats turn into the party of cranky 2 year olds?

You're funny, in a twisted way, RiR

Gee, we remember all the campaign appearances by Bush in 2008 ... uh, not.

The fall campaign hasn't even begun. Primaries aren't over. You didn't hear?

Oh no! Don't tie the GOP to the Tea Party! That will certainly hurt us in November! Please, baby Jesus, save us!

The fall campaign hasn't even begun.

You need to awaken from your deep sleep, Rip Van Retard.

Five "other" party leaders.

I've never heard of Tim Kaine, and when I saw the headline, I assumed they were talking about the Schultz who has a radio program with 45 listeners every night.

We know who the party leaders are. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd, Rangel, Feinstein, Boxer, Kerry, Geithner, Biden. Kennedy, Murtha, and Byrd would be on that esteemed list had they not walked toward the light.

America knows who the Democratic Party leaders are, despise them, and that explains why these no-names are getting on planes this October.

Just your little segment of hypocrites despise Obama, RiR

"I've never heard of Tim Kaine"

Why you want to display your political ignorance is your business. But it might be because the former governor of Virginia and current DNC chairman doesn't make an ass of himself as often or as consistently as Michael Steele.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz needs to go.

This is one of the many reason why:

weblogs.sun-sentinel.com

Catfish face Schulz is one mean-spirited broad.

I could see why Tim Kaine would be so important to someone like you. He's the drum major of your little marching band. I do remember him being governor of Virginia, now that you mention it.

In the end, he'll probably be remembered less as a former governor, and more as the guy who oversaw the annihilation of his party in November, despite the fact that his counterpart at the RNC is a retard. And what happened to the loudmouth doc from Vermont, Dean? I thought he was head of the DNC.

Try to tie the GOPhers to the TPers?

Kinda impossible to untie them aint it?

The TP movement was originally a Tax Protest organized by GOPher Ron Paul that was co-opted along the way by Dick Armey of the GOP and his hilariously inaptly named "Freedomworks" group.

85% of TPers self-identify as Republicans/Conservatives.

Most of the other 15% are self described "Libertarians" who apparently are not familiar with wot that word means.

They are the increasingly loony fringe element of a party that is rapidly becoming a bit of fringe element itself.

Be Well.

"I could see why Tim Kaine would be so important to someone like you."

He's not important to me. I just make it my business to try and stay up to speed on some of the basics of political culture in this country.

Tim Kaine. Democratic "leader". Noted.

I've no idea if he's a leader; I just know he's chair of the DNC. There are really, as I'm sure you'll agree, very few "leaders" in politics -- that is, few politicians who are actually "leaders."

On that point, I agree totally.

In fact, I'm hard put to think of a single one. In Washington, anyway.

WOW. Looking at the headline I thought it was MSNBC's Ed Schultz. He is having a difficult time these days with reality:

"Schultz's Confused Logic: Rips Bachmann's Public Visibility; Features Her 71 Times on His TV Show in Past Year"

newsbusters.org

Did she think of that all by her little self??

She is sooooo smart!

The DNC is doing the same thing--even have an ad out.

When you can't dazzle them with facts --call them names....

It's all too late and this will back fire --because no one is buying it.

Ask the indies and they have left Obama in droves.

So poll now has him at 38% approval--with indies

Oops!

I am still waiting for AU to link Reagan approval at 35% in November 1982...hmmmm....

Here ya go, MURPHY

You keep saying this like as if you think Obama's approval rating is going to come back.

Sorry Mr. Obama, you are no Ronald Reagan.

The only way out of this is for Obama to move to the middle causing the economy to start coming back. YES! Obama has a HUGE adverse effect on the economy at this point.

EDDIE

Reagan's 'move to the middle' meant he raised taxes and fees 7 out of 8 years he was in office. We grew ourselves out of a recession that caused high unemployment and thus his low approval ratings.

Know what gave him the biggest bump in approval ratings after falling so low? The invasion of teeny tiny Grenada. Wag the Dog.

He ran on 'balancing the budget' and instead gave us our first trillion dollar budgets and tripled the national debt. Yet, he's somehow a budget slashing, tax cutting icon to the right. While being portrayed as a tough cowboy on one hand he didn't retaliate when Hezbollah blew up our Marines in Beirut. Instead, he sold Iran missiles to get some hostages back in Lebanon. Which nearly brought him criminal charges.

Reagan talked one game and did another. Republicans don't seem to know their facts very well.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is one of the most loved politicians in South Florida. I don't know anyone who doesn't like her, Republicans or Democrats. She's also real smart and energetic. She could be a real asset to many Dems around the country.

Also EDDIE claims to be the dumbest poster on DR but I think he's only number 2 or 3, do others think he deserves the much sought after title of dumbest or is he just a runner up?

Eddie has made that claim for himself?

Could you point out where Eddie made that claim? I can't possibly read all of his posts without causing myself brain damage. He really is mind-numbingly stupid.

I'd hardly call the state that special Eddie's posts invoke "Comfortably Numb".

Love the Pink Floyd tune though!
