Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Among the 387 planks of the Republican Party of Iowa's platform is a bizarre plan to strip President Barack Obama of his citizenship for accepting the Nobel Peace Prize. The Republicans want to restore the original 13th Amendment, which was never ratified and replaced by one that banned slavery, to ensure "that the United States never again suffers the humiliation of having a president win the Nobel Peace Prize," writes Jerry Adler of Newsweek.

Iowa, the most recent state to convert to Democrat.

What Citizenship? just kidding but really don't we have enough problems without this stuff.

FTA: These folks, known as "Thirteenthers," believe that since the amendment would have banned lawyers and bankers from serving in government (since they joined the International Bar Association or the International Bankers Association, respectively), every act of the federal government since 1819 would be delegitimized.

Lawls.

Thirteenthers.

Just when you thought the right had espoused every possible crazy-assed idea that exists they reach down into the bottom of the barrel and come up with THIS.

Funny, funny stuff.

Be Well.

Partisan bull shit at its finest.

Next they will try and impeach him over something like a blow jo.....nevermind.

This is hilarious!

This would wipe out citizenship for a WHOLE lot of our absolutely best and brightest.

Good job GOP (Iowa) - striving for the dumbest nation on the planet!

well, the Iowa GOP is sort of like the New Black Panther Party isn't it... 2 ppl, out of touch, and impotent?

And who said the GOP was full of idiots? Not with a brilliant plan sure to succeed such as this.

Terrific, I'm still trying to get used to the idea the seventeenthers are serious and now this.

Good Lord.

striving for the dumbest nation on the planet!

thanks for doing your part

ya know... really it would behoove the republiclowns to spend their time coming up with tangible solutions... or at least ideas to fix the damage they've done... rather than trying to stop someone that is actually implementing change to their policies.

Wow, that's some kinda crazy, Iowans!

actually the more the conservatoids do this the better Obama's successes are framed by their opposition.... he crosses over their "waterloos"...

AMEN! Where were they when he won the State in the Primary's?
I guess, this is a good thing. What kind of crisis would behoove us should Obama be outed? All of the criminal activity that has been done on his part?

Good luck GOP Iowa!

Shoot, I'm just glad it ain't Texas this time!

I'm not sure he has a US citizenship to loose. I think if he ever was born in the US, he gave it up when he got a foreign student grant and travled on another countries pasport.

thanks for doing your part

Hey Vern!
Do you know what I was referring?

Doh! If Obama's to be stripped of citizenship, then so should Ronald Reagan and Bush's dad for accepting knighthoods from the British monarch. Guess they ain't big on smarts in th Iowa GOP.

Not when you're 4 years old.

If you have dual citizenship you have to choose when you turn 18

Excuse me. When you turn 21

The Obama administration is considering ways it could go around Congress to allow undocumented migrants to stay in the United States since its attempts to push a broad overhaul of immigration law have been thwarted, according to an agency memo.

now we know why obama wants this so bad.

Fart blosm. I am talking about after he got out of college. I'm guessing he was over 18 then.

The Iowa GOP doesn't have the authority to do jack schitt against someone's citizenship.

Go back to school.

Wow I can think of many better admendments to pass such as having each state approve a law before the president is allowed to sign it.

I've learned something today.

I didn't know you could smoke corn.

And, leave Karl Rove out of this.

That's just stupid. He has no citizenship since he was born in Kenya. duh

How old was he after he graduated from college and took his world tour? Seems to me that MOST people are over 21 when they get out of college.

Most of the places he went on his tour were off limits to US pasport holders.

'He has no citizenship since he was born in Kenya. duh'

All of the criminal activity that has been done on his part?

could you be a little more vague?

apparently you have no solutions to offer...pretty much the same with republiclowns everywhere... piss and moan

As an Iowan, I cannot tell you how happy I am about this.

Because this is too looney-tunes even for most Republicans to stomach, which helps Dems.

Welcome to the GOP - ever its own worst enemy. Heh.

The GOP doesnt need to do anything, he is doing a fine job and ensuring his defeat

The GOP in Iowa appears to be in dire need of adult supervision.

"No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State."

No Title of Nobility?

Apparently the Iowa GOP thinks Obama won the "Noble Prize".

This is so win...

Apparently the Iowa GOP thinks Obama won the "Noble Prize".

worse than that... they think he is a citizen... I think we need to refer the "birthers" to those folks in Iowa

International Bar Association? All the lawyer's offices I've been in have had plaques hanging on their walls from the AMERICAN Bar Association.
What the hell have these twits been smoking?

Nobel - Noble. I see what you did there. Clever.

Still we're looking at 320 United States Nobel winners that would be stripped of their citizenship by these morons. I assume posthumously for those un-American winners like Woodrow Wilson and Theodore Roosevelt.

If you, like me, are a connoisseur of crazy, check out this "missing" 13th amendment site: www.usa-the-republic.com

The only thing crazier is this: www.cyberclass.net The 13th amendment stuff is only level 1 crazy. It can be understood in the span of a half-hour. The "straw man" scam is an order of magnitude crazier. It takes hours to get a basic grasp on that insanity.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, Yav. Never gonna happen.
Unless the Nobel Foundation is somehow deemed a "foreign power".
Or, in the case of the Peace Prize, the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

But, since the Titles of Nobility Amendment was never ratified, and is not part of the Constitution, it's all academic, and these Iowa noobs can blather all they want.

Sorry, BlueSprings.

This shit is becoming way too much.

Give it up you freakin' morons. It's over and has been, and you have no proof.

So your time met be better spent going to night school and trying to learn to read in a critical manner. Why you're there take some American History classes.

Coninued Bush policies with the added horror of a black man in the WH=
Teabagger platform. WTF people. In case you haven't noticed our infrastructure of our Nation is falling down. Thre's plenty of jobs right there. Welding is not that hard.

But this kindergarten crap: "You can't play with us anymore." "You're a fag!" "We're taking our ball and going home!"
has got to stop.
Without honest serious conversation, and co-operation between all sides, we can kiss America goodbye.

I've decided to go out in a blaze of glory.

Wow I can think of many better admendments to pass such as having each state approve a law before the president is allowed to sign it.

STRANGE, I thought each state had sent their representatives to do just that. It's called Congress. Take a fucking civics lesson.
