Which is ugly either way - he's spouting his personal belief rather than hoping to permit justice served. He's not impartial or prudently quiet about that fact - in this instance, menacingly Cheneycasting. Is he qualified to know either way if Osama would, could or should be caught, captured or killed? Who's opinion does he base that upon? I'm curious how he concludes that millions of people from multiple nations aren't interested in the trial of bin Laden? Heroes do not kill the villain, they bring them to justice - I expect our side to be acting heroically and in the interest of expedience and justness. So, Holder is implying that our military can't be trusted to perform their honored duty because they are obnoxious, short-sighted and blatantly self-righteous to be trusted to the task? I'm not disagreeing with his evaluation, but the military contractors and secret intelligence prisons have been setting the "kill first" precedent. I'd like to imagine our side can rationalize better, but we are invading Talibanistan and might be there for no less a reason than Osama allegedly attacked us for in the first place - empire building by oily men..

Interesting, I've always been under the assumption that conspiracy theories are considered far Left wing moonbattery, but I'm certain there is room for all of us to some extent. Some of the most interesting military data I've gotten firsthand have been from otherwise staunch Republicans. Are you at all familiar with William Cooper?
