It has apparently never been done before, but a Tea Party group in New Jersey has won the first round in its effort to recall a U.S. Senator -- Democrat Robert Menendez.

Let's see the coffee party top this one.

When that was denied, they went to court. And now they've won. At least the first round.

As they should. It is their right, after all.

If the teabaggers want to start a recall effort, they run the risk of exposing themselves as a self-absorbed fringe movement of bitchy rightwingers. Make no mistake... the recall effort will fail. How miserably it fails will reflect how marginalized these teabagging shitstains have become.

If these "tea partiers" had any guts, they'd try to recall Obama.

they'd try to recall Obama

I get the feeling when reading their signs at their rallies that a goodly number of them can't recall breakfast.

No kidding. There are hundreds of photos from the Tea Party in D.C.

This is the only example where at least someone in attendance knew how to spell:

He was like a President or something, right?

It appears the "coffee party" has already dissolved.

Effectively they've already won. The negative publicity generated from this will nix his chance for re-election.

The real fun begins when states and localities run out of cash.

"Effectively they've already won"

"Mission Accomplished"

I'm starting to see a trend...

It's already began here. Several schools have large signs on their grounds with the amounts they are owed by the state as well as several localities laying off police and shutting down fire stations.

Fun times ahead.

The canibals will be eating each other, real soon.

What do socialists do when there is no one left to tax?

If these "tea partiers" had any guts, they'd try to recall Obama.

why for?
Obama has done more for the Repubs in a year than Reagan did in eight

Keep that spirit up, Marky-Mark. They'll be welcoming the Repubs into Washington with flowers, just like in Baghdad.

"It's already began(sic) here"

No shit.

Local Governments around the nations capital are beginning to feel the crunch. Schools and Governments are talking about furloughs and cuts to services. The stimulus money they received probably only delayed the inevitable. Just like extending unemployment. Eventually those people need a job.

They're claiming racism now. Jersey Dems Blast Tea Party

Yeah, but you ARE a racist. So....

Yeah, but you ARE a racist. So....

And your point is?

Yeah, but you ARE a racist. So....

You're bald, fat and ugly. So what.

1.3 million signatures--that's a lot of people to sign anything.

The real fun begins when states and localities run out of cash.

The best part will be when these dumb fucks start bitching about police and fire services being cut.

But they still won't see why increases in taxes are required.

you are only half right . . . people DO understand that they need taxed for "some" services, however the Fed Gvt has become an annoying inefficient middle-man in far too many areas
States will begin asserting their Constitutional powers . . . .
local schools, police, fire etc will get money from the people via :local" & "State" Gvt

layoffs will then begin at the DOE, D O Education, IRS, EPA, and other HUGE buracracies full of people
pushing paper

They already get most of their money from there. When are you shitnecks going to finally learn which taxes go where? After several years on this site, it amazes me that so many people don't understand what the state pays for and what the federal government wastes!

I wonder how bad things will have to get before such a scenario would actually happen. I can just imagine the talking heads of the MSM crying and moaning while showing a big crowd of federal bureaucrats leaving their offices with pink slips (or layoff notices) in their hands. The phrase 'wailing and gnashing of teeth' might be appropriate.

well since there were about 7 or 8 in each meeting last week...they better get some more help from GEORGE SOROS who is reported to be the main finance behind it
of course you WONT hear the media bleating about any sort of 'astroturf' part to these 'copycats'.

The fundamental problem is that the cost of government exceeds what the private economy can support. Roughly 2/3 of Americans are living off of government support through either welfare or wages. Something has to give, and it will.

Yes, because police and fire are such a large part of where my tax dollar goes.

Several schools have large signs on their grounds with the amounts they are owed by the state

How did they pay for the signs?

Menendez has enough dead people registered to stave off any problems.
