Cornell University is dealing with six student suicides this year, including two within the past week, and has stationed police officers and security guards on all of the bridges that cross the gorges that cut through the campus. "It's well known that Cornell has a reputation as a 'suicide school,' which is not consistent with the reality of the statistics," said Timothy Marchell, the university's director of mental health initiatives.
