A magnitude 4.4 earthquake rumbled through Los Angeles this morning at 4:04 a.m. local time. The quake, centered on Pico Rivera, caused no major damage or injuries but sparked concerns it might be a precursor to a larger quake.

4.4?

That's nothing. I barely looked up from my paper.

If I turned on the news, they'd probably have graphics, and music and logos and stuff for "Earthquake Watch"

Not far from the Whittier fault is the Puente Hills fault.
Blind thrust fault, runs from Puente to Griffith Park, underneath downtown L.A.
When that one wakes up, it's going to be havoc.

Let me know when the big one hits.

All the high desert dwellers will have beach front property.

Looks like the great state of california is at the epicenter of all kinds of problems---financial, earthquakes, etc.

Attagirl Catsup.

i heard a lady on the news say "it felt like the ground was moving under my feet". really?

The fault is just relieving pressure. Call it an "earth fart".

It's doesn't mean the "Arizona Bay" quake is nigh.

" Call it an "earth fart"

He who felt it, dealt it.

An earthquake tax should be put into law immediately for California

The fault is just relieving pressure. Call it an "earth fart".

Makes sense considering Los Angeles is North America's asshole.

"and we trollin'

Makes sense considering Los Angeles is North America's asshole.

Nah, it was just reported that it was caused by two Wisconsin fatties vacationing here. They jumped up and down when the found Lawrence Welk's star on Hollywood Blvd.

Not my coffee, it isn't. I brew about a 5.1 on the Richter Scale.

That was your coffee? Sure there wasn't something else going on at your place?

Just proves that the great Prophet-Bill Haley-wrote a song about "The City of Lost Angels"...

Thanks for predicting todays 'Quake in L.A., Bill

I'm certified to handle EQ claims for the State.

4.4 is nothing

But the big one predicted to hit at some point in time..

GOD DAMN! THAT IS SOME BREAKING NEWS MURPHY!

4.4 is nothing

Sort of like a CAT 2 hurricane in South Florida.

We don't even bother to get out of the pool.

Explains Pelosi...she was that little turd that escaped from a San Fran earthquake in ancient times....

Why is this news? I thought not having a day with an earthquake in California is like going a day without sunshine.

Got this email a couple of weeks ago and pretty much dismissed it...

I have been monitoring the area earthquake activity, and things are looking bad on the horizon.

If things continue we may be faced with a catastrophic quake very soon. The area around Loma

Linda/San Timeteo Canyon are rocking and rolling. Over 300 quakes in the last 6 months, 100+

quakes in the last 3 days, including the 4.2 on Saturday. But there is also a moving fault trend

along the "Woodcrest" Fault. This new fault is moving and migrating at an alarming rate. Quakes

have migrated from near Colton to Riverside near Allesandro and Central Ave. in a very straight

and new line and this trend has had more then 10 separate quakes. Tonight there have been 25

quakes on just these two faults. This is a profile that fits with the recent "Haiti" quake where

hundreds of quakes happened there over more then 6 months (as they have here) all leading to

the big 7.2 quake.

Well,

That would be 54 democrat electoral votes in the drink. A good start.

Though I will miss the technology and the wines....
