Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Monday, March 15, 2010

The once-respected science journal Nature recently published a whining editorial to the effect that climate scientists are not criminals, really; that attacks on them by increasingly-skeptical news media are soooo unfair; and that the fundamental science showing that the planet is doomed unless the economies of the West are shut down at once is unchallengeable.

"Whether they or Nature like it or not, they will eventually stand trial, and deservedly so."

Careful, Toy. You're starting to sound like those other whiny ninnies who think Bush and Cheney should be tried in the Hague for war crimes.

That one will never happen, either

Probably not, but it might be enough to discredit these sick fucks and prevent them from destroying what little manufacturing base is left in this country.

but it might be enough to discredit these sick fucks

Yeah, what sick fucks to go off of empirical data and actual measured information instead of uninformed gut reactions.

The audacity.

What laws exactly have they broken? What is the criminal act that was committed?

And what do you mean "once respected Nature?"

Nature is still a damn good journal and I'd love to publish in it.

I think you're overextending your conclusions here, mystery. Nature is and will continue to be VERY much respected.

Most of the rest of the world has moved on, and we're not listening to them anymore.

Once respected blog 'The Drudge Retort' taken over by retarded righties that can only regurgitate Fox News talking points.

I think "retarded righties" is redundant, isn't it? Along with "progressive Democrats" and "clear-thinking Obama Administration official."

Many of the two dozen Climategate emailers, who have for years driven the IPCC process, tampered with peer review in the learned journals, and fabricated, altered, concealed, or destroyed scientific data are criminals

The "climategaters" have stepped out in defense of a moronic conspiricy theory based by gross misinterpretations of private emails and quite a lot of your own fabrication. If anything relating to climate change is criminal, it is the depth of the denialists' ignorance and the lengths they will go to spread their pseudoscientific propaganda.

You've got little more than a fetid pool of mentsrual seepage between your ears, mysterytoy. Every now and then, a little of it leaks onto the retort. Today seems to have been one of those "heavy flow" days. A piece of advice... find a nice, big sanitary pad and cover your keyboard with it until the compulsion to act like an idiot subsides.

Obama still has a long way to go before he becomes the clusterfuck of a president you idiots spent the last 8 years cheerleading.

Republicans have renamed the "ides of March 2010" waterloo week.

Apparently, Obama is a fast learner.

If the anti-global warming crowd had a legitimate case, they wouldn't resort to ridiculous exaggerations like claiming the other side says "the planet is doomed unless the economies of the West are shut down."

Most of the steps needed to fight global warming are steps that make sense for many other reasons, such as switching from coal to renewable energy and nuclear power, getting off our dependence on foreign oil, and adopting much more efficient energy technology. Green tech could be the next Silicon Valley-like boom for this country. (Or another country such as China.)

None of this would shut down economies. It's amazing how resistant some people are to change, even when it's clearly beneficial and the status quo is demonstrably harmful.
