Okay, I get that the government will use the language of preemption to employ the fear card, but how out of the realm of possibility is it that terrorist do or eventually will have the tech skill to do some real damage? Tarpley seems to dismiss those notions out of hand as some scifi nightmare.

I meant the language of the cold war, not preemption.

Because linux is free and open source, they are trying to classify it as a terrorist threat.

That is similar to the argument that file sharing programming is in and of itself criminal. Some may make that argument, but it doesn't currently withstand judicial scrutiny.
