Why do you think so many of them concoct delusions of persecution by the government, ethnic minorities, non-Christians, New World Order, or whoever? Why do you think they rally against nonexistent threats?

It's factually accurate to describe these kinds of groups as extremist right wing, but that's likely to cause the rest of the right to resent the association.

Though the ones on the right are more likely to arm up and form militias, there are animal rights and ecological extremists on the left who blow stuff up. The left/right split is not as useful as knowing what all of these groups are doing and saying.

I wonder why that is happening? Seems like when there are islamic or right wing groups forming, all is quiet.
