Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The dominant theme throughout the most outraged responses was, essentially: We're not racists, but here's why we're pissed about blacks and immigrants. For example, here's a particularly illustrative e-mail, reprinted as it was received:

******

Smart. I have dozens more just like it. Several of them tell me I'm an idiot for suggesting there's a racial component, followed closely with a line about how I should "go back to Cuba or Africa." Nope. No racism there. Nevertheless, no matter how unhinged the above message might be, it proves an important point -- my point.

Yeah yeah everything is about race, we've all hear it before. Repeating it doesn't make it any less dumb.

Yeah yeah everything is about race

Of course it is. No one ever despised or talked bad about the sitting president until we got a black one. Everyone knows that.

What, another HuffnPuff piece about the tea party? They must be experts by now, surely. So we can all take what the HuffnPuff says about conservatives as gospel? Yawn. Any news today, or just more scared shitless claptrap from the left?

Oops, almost forgot. "Bush!" "Palin!" "Bad!" Couldn't forget the constant diatribe from the left that substitutes for logical and reasoned arguments.

I don't think its ALL about race, but I believe its what tips the scales from the usual protest of a Dem administration to what we have today.

The fact that so many try so hard to defend against the accusation does make people seem a little guilty though.

If the allegation is off the mark, why get so upset over it? Wouldn't that misunderestimation work toward your advantage?

All about the Race to November!

Since the libtard writer talks about Nazis, how about this gem -

"You're damned right we voted for Hitler, he gave us hope!" - - Samuel Mitcham recounts in Why Hitler an interaction he once had with a neighbor.

30 years from now the same will be said of Obama. Of course the Germans aren't exactly aching to go back to the days of National Socialism, are they?

Best post so far.

Are you talking about the European socialist paradise of Germany? The one with the free health care and education? By your asinine interpretations Germany is run by Nazis!

"The fact that so many try so hard to defend against the accusation does make people seem a little guilty though."

It is an attempt to play off fear, one of the big thing people are afraid of today is being labeled as a racist. It seem that the opposition to the tea party is using the race tactic as a way to marginalize and personally belittle, which on its own is despicable. Not to mention the lack of discourse or allowing the ideas to be considered. That is not to say that they have a solution but at least they deserve to be heard before insults are hurled at them.

Is this your 'poor little victim', 'the man is out to get me' Glenn Beck impersonation? Are you going to start crying because they are calling the glue behind your beloved tea party racism (aka the 'Southern Strategy')?
It's kind of funny to read a teabagger pine for civilized discourse and the value of ideas. Teabaggers are sorely lacking in both: impervious to facts (taxation policy) and history (read spokanejim) and most notable for their hooligan antics at the health care town halls.
I'd say more, but then I'd just be continuing to paraphrase Cesca's Part 1.

I didn't interpret anything, simply made a point. If you can't figure out the difference between current European governmental policies and those employed by the Nazis in the 30's and 40's that's your problem, not mine. "National Socialism" is a specific form of government, not the more generic socialism you refer to. I shouldn't have to explain such things, but to the liberally dense some things are hard to understand.

Bottom line is that you link to and support an article accusing Tea Partiers of being racist. Yet there is nothing beyond liberal huff-n-puff to suggest this is so. The reality is that the tea parties scared the shit out of peons like you and other liberals basking in the glow that they felt the American people showed toward Obama. Instead, the parties have shown that Obamamania was exactly that, a manic state brought on by a supposed widespread support of Obama's policies. That smokescreen has collapsed, leaving a disgruntled and increasingly hostile citizenry. Since you and your ilk have no real argument or debate against them, the only thing you can resort to is the tried and tested liberal mantra of racism. This reflects on you, not on the tea parties. I know it sucks to be a liberal these days, but try harder in forming an argument against the tea parties.

Maybe an old timer like you is not used to the fact that most public discourse is recorded these days. The charges of racism against the teabaggers are supported by what teabaggers say and do on video. They indict themselves.

Studies have shown that the majority of tea parties in this country are held by little girls.
