Hundreds of construction union members joined political and industry leaders lining the plaza outside 7 World Trade Center Tuesday afternoon to demand that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Silverstein Properties negotiate an end to the stalemate over financing of SPI's planned towers at Ground Zero. "For too long, Ground Zero has been exhibit A for those who say you can no longer build big in New York," said Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.). "We need to prove them wrong."
