"Rahm Emanuel is son of the devil's spawn, Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY) said. "He is an individual who would sell his mother to get a vote. He would strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive."

Rep. Massa describes a confrontation with Emanuel in a shower: "I am showering, naked as a jaybird, and here comes Rahm Emanuel, not even with a towel wrapped around his tush, poking his finger in my chest, yelling at me."

Eric Massa?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Who is this really? Is that YOU, Zat? In case you're confused, this isn't the global warming thread.

Doc,

When the whole Massa thing first broke I thought it would be damaging to both Obama and the DNC. However, I've heard snippets from him over the weekend and I listened to his entire interview with Glen Beck. This guy has a MAJOR credibility issue and even the most partisan and ardent conservative pundits are trashing this guy.

Beck?

No shiat.

Be Well.

Jeff-

I didn't pay much attention to it at first, just sort of did some quick reads, thinking this'll shake itself out soon or die, also soon. Then I saw the guy in a couple of clips this morning -- one from Glenn Beck's show and the other from Larry King's -- and my impression is this guy is teetering on the verge of a nervous breakdown or has already entered its early phases.

"-- and my impression is this guy is teetering on the verge of a nervous breakdown or has already entered its early phases."

I've always wondered about those grads of Canoe U. A lot of them seem to be a little flaky. Perot wanted an early release from the Navy because he didn't know sailors cursed, drank, and chased women and now we have this guy...hmmmmmm?

Underneath it all, where the wild things hang out, it is a global warming thread. With two tablespoons of reptoid, a dash of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, five leaves from the Grassy Knoll, half of a UFO tailpipe, a couple of Bilderbergers, and one baby Rothschild tossed in for good measure.

"Canoe U"

Hadn't heard that one. Love it! I'll keep it in ye olde memory bank, right next to that cheer from Norfolk High.

Dick Cheney went to Fuck U

He thought Sen. Leahy asked him where he went to school.

"With two tablespoons of reptoid,..."

That explains the maniacal laugh, or was it perhaps the scrumptous breakfast of psilocybin mushrooms?

I'm a little concerned that you know how to spell "psilocybin."

"I'm a little concerned that you know how to spell "psilocybin."

It's easy. The ones that gives me problems are, "newmonia" and "toemain."

Doc,

I caught all of 10-minutes of Hannity's radio show last night and he was (in a surprisingly logical and analytical fashion) pointing out the absurdities of Massa's statements.

I know many on the left absolutely despise any and all conservative pundits and columnists (not necessarily you) but accross the board the conservative media has done a major, collective eye-roll at this guy.

Personally, I have a mixed view on this.

I actually think he's being honest about his little confrontation with Emanuel in the shower as well as his account regarding the tossling of the hair of one of his staffers - both sound plausible. It was fricking Hannity of all people who pointed out that his timeline didn't make sense regarding his victimhood claim of being singled out by the whitehouse. The timeline just didn't add up as he was FAR from the only 'No' vote on this in terms of his conspiratorial rants. And regarding the whole shower thing - a top white house official attempting to strong-arm a congressman??? *Yawn* Yeah, like that doesn't happen almost every day regardless of who is occupying the White House.

"I know many on the left absolutely despise any and all conservative pundits and columnists (not necessarily you) but accross the board the conservative media has done a major, collective eye-roll at this guy."

My reading of it is they first tried to use him and when he turned out to be a wackjob started backing off.

On the strong-arm tactics used on a congressman, I'm with you: Zzzzzzzzzzz.

My reading of it is they first tried to use him and when he turned out to be a wackjob started backing off.

That's probably true. Having said that, the fact that they backed off is a testament to these pundits/columnists. They tempered their opportunity with the reality that this guy is, at best, questionable.

If only Dan Rather and his crew had the same degree of healthy skepticism when buying the story of a crazed Schizo who had a blatant ax-to-grind with 'Bushco' in the Rathergate story.

Neat article by Dana Milbank over at the WaPo on the Massa/Beck thing.

"Bull crap, sir," Beck said of Massa's explanation.

It deteriorated from there. Massa suggested that Beck "stop calling fellow Americans names . . . socialist, communist, whatever the case may be." He also told the conservative audience: "You can't show up at a 'tea party' rally and claim that the entire budget deficit happened this year."

Be Well.

Anyone else get the idea that these two bozos are gay lovers, having a spat?
