A majority of Americans say the United States is less respected in the world than it was two years ago and think President Obama and other Democrats fall short of Republicans on the issue of national security, a new poll finds.

By the end of 1981, Reagan's job approval rating had drifted down to 49%.

Things got worse for Reagan in 1982 (his 2nd year in office). The public's view of the economy remained sour, and the president's ratings during 1982 stayed concomitantly low, in the 40% range, ending the year at 41%. The 1982 midterm elections were not good ones for Reagan and for the GOP. The Republicans lost about 25 seats in the House.

cut taxes and revenues shot up quickly but when the dem congress SPENT a dollar and almost a half for every dollar his policy brought in, well danni can spew the rest to you.

taxes must be cut or remain low and spending must be lowered..JUST LIKE calvin coolidge did to get out of the depression of1920.
