Oh my GOD. Why? Why do people even think this admin is at all interested in doing away with the second amendment? Bizarre. They have a right to march, of course, but I just don't get it. Maybe it's because of all the leftwing bias (irony alert), but I have seen no serious evidence of Obama's desire to kick the second amendment's ass.

They should wait a day and chillax.

I passed a sign on the side of the highway this weekend that was advertising a gun show, it said:

"Get your guns while you still can!"

I guess I'm in the second amendment crowd, but I agree with very little of the tea party stance.

I have seen no serious evidence of Obama's desire to kick the second amendment's ass.

Aside from him putting anti-gun people in high-ranking positions of his administration, neither have I. At this point, while trying to pass health care, he'd lose all of his political capital if he pursued gun-control legislation or tried to make a permanent assault weapons ban. He'd also probably end up being a one-term president.

That's second term legislation. The President isn't stupid.

If you say so, Nogov4me. Personally, I think the guy is going to do what he believes to be right. Whether that's the wrong direction for the country or not will remain to be seen.

I guess if you want to be afraid that the President is a secret kenyan muslim terrorist, that's your own problem.

When the usual commies like Luaghtenberg and Schumer are in power, it's prudent to think ahead.

What connection is that, tater?

There's a discussion on the site whether to change the date of the march.

Not because of the connection to the Oklahoma City bombing or Waco as one might think or hope but because organizers were worried that their tea bagging bretheren were not gonna be financially able to take part in both the Tea Party protests planned for 4 days before this march and this march. In the end they decided to keep the date because the Tea Party protests will be little local events all over the place and not one big one in DC.

Whether the Tea Party crowd and the Second Ammendment crowds really overlap as much as the organizers here assert they do is uncertain but the perception is certainly there.
