The Obama administration now favors trying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and other alleged Sept. 11, 2001, plotters in a military tribunal, officials said, yielding to opposition from Congress and local governments that was stymieing the Justice Department's plans for a civilian trial.

Obama and his fellow progressives have the backbones of earthworms and the resolve of Frenchmen. How many times are you dopes gonna fall for Obama the limp noodle and Holder his castrated poodle?

You do gotta love all the drama and gnashing of teeth these people create before they finally back down with their tails between their legs.

One thing you can say about Bush (even if you didn't think the war was a good idea), he stood up for what he thought was the right thing to do.

Kinda rare. Now, if he could only pronounce New-clair a little better... Ugh.

No he didn't.

He allowed Cheney and the other PNACers to manipulate him into going to war with Iraq in the first place. Just as they had been planning to do before taking office.

Just as they urged Clinton to do when he was in power.

He didn't do it cos he thought it was the right thing to do he did it cos he was told to.

Be Well.

"He (Bush) stood up for whatever he thought wasw the right thing to do...."

Two-years-olds do exactly that. Time-out and occasional swats to the butt cure them of that, generally.

Amateur hour again.

Sure, cause blowing in the wind, living by the latest approval poll, and generally not making any decision worked SO WELL for Carter II, right?

The military doesn't give trials. They give inquisitions.

And yet another Obama vs Obama:

A reversal on the 9/11 trial would represent the latest backtracking on an issue that has bedeviled the Obama administration from nearly the outset. In his campaign, Mr. Obama asserted that Bush administration detention policies had damaged America's standing in the world.

It really is irrelevent when one considers the fact Obama, Holden and Biden have all come out and said KSM will be found guilty and sentenced to death. So, I guess our standing in the world goes from damaged to laughable.

KSM has already pleaded guilty. His plea was rejected by the Military Tribunal:

(Who was President? What are the GOPpers saying today?)

The request, which was the result of hours of private meetings among the detainees, appeared intended to undercut the government's plan for a high-profile trial while drawing international attention to what some of the five men have said was a desire for martyrdom.

Hypocrites.

Of course no one has mentioned Bloomberg caving in to the Corporations in lower Manhattan screaming business will suffer if the trial takes place. Remember dollars before doing the right thing...

Tell us Goose why is a civilian trial the 'right thing'?

One thing you can say about Bush (even if you didn't think the war was a good idea), he stood up for what he thought was the right thing to do.

So did the captain of the Titanic. Sometimes you have to change course when things aren't going the way you thought they would.

Things like eating, paying the rent, the electric bill etc. that being able to conduct business provide is really just non sense.

I see your point.
