Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Thursday, March 04, 2010

There are many times when we, as Hillary Clinton supporters, can speak directly to Sarah Palin supporters, as people who have been there, done that, and have the scars and experiential knowledge to prove it. Today is one of those days, as the MSM and Left attack the Governor for her planned travelogue/documentary series featuring the Palin family traveling across Alaska, showcasing its wonders and teaching America about our last frontier and the great energy riches inherent there.

As usual, the MSM, DNC, and RNC elite conspire to breed Eeyores amongst the caribou and arctic foxes of Team Sarah. Eeyores, for the uninitiated, are sad-sack, pessimistic, fat little rainclouds moaning DOOOOOM!

'So, Palin supporters defaulting to Eeyore mode and thinking this is a bad move for Palin, please listen to guys who have been going to bat for Hillary Clinton since one of us first wrote a freshman essay on her for speech class back in high school in 1990. We've seen everything possible thrown at Clinton. We know exactly what the MSM and DNC did to her in 2008. We know exactly why she left the Senate and went to the State Department. While we don't know when she'll run for President again, we know that she will do so.

We know Sarah Palin is running for President in 2012. We know this show is part of her strategy for winning.

We think it is a brilliant tactical move.

Should, for whatever reason, the Palin Family Adventure Show find its way taping an episode in Chicagoland, we volunteer ourselves as Palin's Boystown guides, and hope to watch every episode when it airs in 2011at which time we hope to be coordinating ground efforts for Palin as she prepares to become the first woman to win the Republican primary in Iowa in early 2012.

This is a brilliant, brilliant move on the Governor's part, people. If you support her and believe in her, you have to learn to trust herand shut down those Eeyores before they drag down her campaign before it can even launch.'

Yes--Possibly brilliant. Enough to make libs heads explode--that in of itself is fun!

What a load of horseshit. You can stop fantasizing, Murphy. That stupid bitch is never going to be president.

when sarah is asked to run for president she will ask in return "in what direction should I run?"

Murphy - I AM NO lib - but if she runs in 2012 it will further divide the conservatives - too many of you have the dying quivers over her - look elsewhere. I won't vote for her.

Can't wait for the show!

LOL

Nanc--

She is the conservative.

The Republican party has been going sideways with rino's and the elites of the party bosses.

Now I don't know if she will run--but make no mistake--she is in the conservative side of the party.

Being a conservative does not a president make, Murphy - she is NOT presidential.

MURPHY

You convinced me! I'm going all out to support her run for President!

You're exactly right; she represents today's GOP like no other.

How could I have been so wrong? (self flagellation with moose-antler-tips)

Yes--Possibly brilliant.

Extremely doubtful.
But hilarious?
Hell, yes!
Sarah's always good for some laughs.

Wow, Murphy.

It now appears there is not a more brainless operative of the fake right than you. Called out many times on multiple aspects of your apologetic backings for these frauds is ignored -- apparently unable to even defend your parroted nonsense.

So it's the "libs" who "spin" how great Palin really is? These "libs" have common sense. Worse yet, I've attended Tea Parties on multiple occasions. I leave sickened each time. From beginning to end, speakers feed on their brainless attendees ignorance on how "liberals" have destroyed America and is the root of every problem. It's the same parroted fake talking points BS that also has you brainwashed as well. Have you missed, or conveniently ignored the stories where Palin states the GOP must take over tea parties? News to Sarah. They are basically one in the same, with the exception of those who see through all the BS (those who originally were the Tea Partiers). You apparently missed that she is just another neo-con backer of globalist police state, endless wars, bomb Iran lunacy. She was so bold to make an implied bribe to Obama that if he 'played the war card with Iran', he could regain enough popularity to be re-elected. If not, the neo-cons will destroy him. If you were honest, you'd admit Palin's run in 2012 would be a virtually automatic Barack re-election. Just like in 2008, there was no viable alternative.

Even if you like Sarah, it is impossible to take her seriously with brainless moments always popping up and now, reality TV?

Palin Shops Reality TV Show

She is the conservative.

She is as corrupt if not many more times more corrupt than anyone in Washington right now.

The country saw through her bullshit in 2008, she will not get a 2nd chance. She knows it. The country knows it. The media knows it. The RNC knows it. You seem to be the only one who has not written off the Wasilla hillbillies.

Good luck with that.

Todd Palin's explanation about how he got a couple hundred thousand dollars worth of free help building their house from 'buddies' - who happened to be the contractors building the multimillion dollar Wasilla Sports Center, that left Wasilla deep in the hole - is laughable.

The country saw through her bullshit in 2008,

#12 | Posted by 726

Too bad the people could not see through Obama's bullshit and inexperience.

You're piling this one pretty deep, Murphy.

Palin is completely overexposed. There's nothing new or surprising that would come from her selling her family to reality TV.

She'll be in great company alongside Danny Bonaduce, Dennis Rodman and all the other publicity desperate reality stars.

Why is the mainstream media so obsessed with Sarah Palin? Why the need to always bring her up and exploit her family?

People, please. Just watch Palin's national reality show about her and her family and say only nice things.

Lolz. And I guess we're supposed to believe that this scripted, Palin-directed reality show is going to be an authentic insight. This will be the best "documentary" since America's Biggest Loser.

Was Tony Rezco the 'shadow governor' of a state, the spouse of a VP candidate who attended Alaskan Independence Party secession meetings for 4 years but can't remember them ever discussing secession despite that being the stated goal of the AIP?

Didn't think so.

I wasn't aware Danny B. or Rodman working for a major news organization and getting prime booking on Leno

Which shows why she doesn't need to pimp her family out to reality TV. But Palin's addicted to fame.

Someone ought to edit titanium frame glasses on these babes:

My friend, murph, sorry, you are a complete 180-degrees wrong.

She is no conservative, she is a neo-con, and a corporate socialist. And she is a big fat dumb-head to boot.

If she were smarter, I may agree that she could work her way into national office, but it ain't gonna happen. She's just too dumb. She will do well when her toalk show comes out and she can talk about recipes and daytime drama.

Hell, you are smarter than she is.

Note seen scribbled on Sarah's hand in blue ink:

Murphy,

"she SWORE up and down she was just doing her Palin impersonation one or two times, then never again. Well, here we are in 2010, and apparently Fey's so desperate for attention she's going back to her old stomping ground at SNL to do the Palin impression some more because Palin is more popular and famous worldwide than Fey will ever be."

Could it be Tina Fey assumed Palin would melt into the background and figured her character was done, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOO....

Sarah Palin won't die. We all know she doesn't stand a chance of an Alaskan snowball in hell of being elected president, but still her supporters continue to fantasize (aaahhh....ummmm...ohhhhh.....
ohhh...ohh.....yea) she will be president.

I'll say this. I'd LOVE to see her in a presidential debate against a group of serious contenders.

So what if Tina Fey comes back and does Sarah Palin again.

Making an issue out of this sounds sort of pathetic.

btw....Tina Fey and Katic Couric didn't damage Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin damaged Sarah Palin.

She failed to present herself well.

A reality TV show with a camera following them around showing off Alaska. How wrong is that?

And none of you read her book. She brags on Alaska a lot. Makes we want to visit.

BTW--she's coming out with another one.

And Bill--Sarah kicked Biden's butt in the debate. The interview with Katie was awful and Sarah admits this too.

Like I said--I don't know if she will run in 2012.

She has better approval than Obama right now and with the HC bill fiasco and continueing--he'll get worse.

And all this from people who like Hillary!!!

#11 | Posted by L_RContrarian

The only one with parroted nonsense would be you LR.

She has better approval than Obama right now

Is that right? (2010):

A new CBS News poll finds that a large majority of Americans say they do not want former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to run for president.

Specifically, 71 percent say they do not want the former Republican vice presidential nominee to run for president, while 21 percent say they do want her to run.

The poll also finds that more people view Palin negatively than positively and that her book tour did not improve overall views of her. However, she is a little better-known now than she was last fall, and both favorable and unfavorable ratings of her have increased slightly.

Now, 26 percent of people view Palin favorably, compared with 23 percent in November and July of last year. Forty-one percent now view her unfavorably, compared with 38 percent in November and 37 percent in July (both in CBS News polls). Nineteen percent of people in the current poll are undecided about Palin.

Forty-three percent of Republicans have a favorable opinion of her. Independents are divided, with 30 percent holding favorable views and 35 percent unfavorable.

www.cbsnews.com

Sorry- AU--Obama is about 46% favorable--so there is the edge..

"And Bill--Sarah kicked Biden's butt in the debate."

lol. You're delusion, Murphy. She didn't self-destruct. By her low standards, that was a victory.

Sorry- AU--Obama is about 46% favorable--so there is the edge..

Rasmussen daily polls are garbage.

Palin's at 26% approval according to the most recent poll. Even Republicans don't give her a higher positive than negative.

BTW, didn't she get 7% of the recent GOP Straw Poll?

New Palin Poll Numbers in Alaska (her home state where she served 48.237374387456% of her term)
28 02 2010

The Alaska GOP's favorite pollster Dave Dittman has come out with some new numbers about our ex-almost-one-term governor. How many of them would like to see her run for President of the United States? What percentage of Alaskans think that the woman who couldn't even survive one term as the governor of half a million people should run the country?

It would appear that it's 17%. That would leave 83% of Alaskans who think that's a bad bad idea.

And none of you read her book....BTW--she's coming out with another one.

Hey Clueless, who wrote the book? Palin? Guess again.

The GOP groomed Palin as a maverick outsider. Following the election defeat in 2008, Palin wrote a book (or Lynn Vincent did) entitled "Going Rogue" (published by HarperCollins, a division of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp). The book is designed to portray Palin as a principled outsider, a stand-up opponent of the old boys' club in Washington. In fact, Sarah Palin is a consummate insider, as Jane Mayer has documented. Before John McCain picked her from the wilds of Alaska to be his running mate, Palin was trumpeted by an establishment neocons, including Bill Kristol, Michael Gerson (a former Bush speech writer and columnist for The Washington Post) and Fred Barnes, an editor at the neocon, the Weekly Standard, and a Fox News regular.

New book? What new brainlessness may we find? According to NY Daily news, New Book: Palin Believes Saddam was Behind 911?

BY Helen Kennedy
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
Monday, January 11th 2010, 4:33 AM

The gossipy new campaign book that has the political world buzzing portrays Sarah Palin not just as an ignoramus who believed Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11 but also as possibly mentally unstable.

"Game Change," the 2008 deconstruction, says the stress of vaulting onto the national stage caused Palin to have wild mood swings. "One minute, Palin would be her perky self; the next she would fall into a strange blue funk." The morning of her ill-fated CBS interview with Katie Couric, Palin - "her eyes glassy and dead" - was unresponsive to attempts to prep her as she was being made up.

"As they were about to set off to meet Couric, Palin announced 'I hate this makeup' - smearing it off her face, messing up her hair, complaining she looked fat." Palin went on to give answers to Couric that were so incoherent the interview permanently damaged her. Palin went into a tailspin. She stopped eating or sleeping, and drank only a half a can of diet soda a day, recounts the book written by John Heilemann of New York magazine and Mark Halperin of Time.

"When her aides tried to quiz her she would routinely shut down - chin on her chest, arms folded, eyes cast to the floor, speechless and motionless, lost in what those around her described as a kind of catatonic stupor. If I had known everything I know now, I would not have done this," the book quotes Palin as saying.

She talked often about her baby, Trig, who spent most of the time in Alaska, and some John McCain aides thought she might be suffering postpartum depression.

When the campaign took her to Arizona to prep for the veep debate, McCain's staff made sure a doctor friend was on hand "to observe her." Palin's spokeswoman Meg Stapleton has dismissed the book's allegations as inaccurate gossip from people who weren't there.

"The governor's descriptions of these events are found in her book, 'Going Rogue.' Her descriptions are accurate," Stapleton said in a statement Sunday night to 60 Minutes." "She was there. These reporters were not." "Game Change," which features priceless images like Rudy Giuliani, John McCain and Mike Huckabee in a line at a pre-debate urinal, making fun of the absent Mitt Romney - also up contains many other revelations:

The book says aides feared Bill Clinton was jeopardizing his wife's run by having an affair in 2006. The book says a trio of Hillary's top aides formed "a war room within a war room" to counter gossip about her husband and were able to discount all philandering rumors but one.

I see we're back to watching Null Set report on what talk shows Palin has and has not appeared on. Have you performed this same analysis with other losing vice presidential candidates? What talk shows did Jack Kemp appear on and not appear on, Null? Was that important to you as well?

She has avoided serious interviews like Superman avoided kryptonite. Deal with it.

Yes, Murph. Everyone's against her for no good reason. Everyone just doesn't understand her. They must write hit pieces. And Muslims hate this country. They are jealous of our freedoms. They are going to attack us at any moment. Bin Laden, climate change expert said so. We need X-rays when we go to the airport because Muslim women have explosives in their breast implants. She filed like 15 complaints against Palin.

I can't find any evidence of that.

But even if it's true, so what? If the state of Alaska permits ethics complaints to be filed by citizens, there must be a reason for it. Possibly the fact that its politicians have a long history of corruption. Would you suggest that it's wrong for someone to file multiple ethics complaints against a Chicago politician?

Rcade,

I looked for them too and couldn't find anything, that's why I asked for the link.

"She filed like 15 complaints against Palin."

And yet, no criticism of Orly Taitz.

My God you're stupid murphy. Palin kicked Biden's butt? She didn't even answer the damned questions. When pushed on that fact, she essentially said she'll say what she wants. But yet she won? No, muffy, sorry. She lost. Bad.

And the interview was bad? BAD? The only way it could have been worse was if she actually responded to every question with "I'm a fucking retard. Vote for me."

DLady was citing mudflats and mudflats is run by a lunatic.

That was my point.

LOL sorry muffy, you're on the wrong side yet again.

Opposing Palin with all your being is the right side to be on. She's a greedy, self-serving narcissist. Nothing more, nothing less.

This diary is by a sound engineer who was at the taping for Palin's Tonight Show appearance.

Guess what? They had to add a laugh track. She bombed in the studio. The crowd didn't laugh or cheer nearly as much as the broadcast would have led viewers to believe.

Leno's Tonight Show Reality Hacking, adds Laugh Track to Sarah Palin Appearance

Guess what? They had to add a laugh track.

Oddly enuff, just finished watching Jon Stewart's take on Scary's Tonight Show gig.

Her complaining that the media wasn't "fair or balanced" enuff was hilarious. Complaining that some news organizations mixed "opinion in with hard news" was a real knee slapper too. Following it up with "that's why I'm on FOX" slayed!

Her lame-assed comedy act seemed more than a little off-key and the laughter from the studio audience seemed inexplicable.

Now Spud knows why.

TY fer that.

They should bear some responsibilty for hawking a defective product. This is corporate shilling in the worst way, not only to raise Leno's ratings, but to push Palin on a crowd with fake laughter and applause. The applause sign is one thing, an american institution. But INSERTING Laughter for Sarah Palin? Try to realize that while you may be laughing at the things she says, because she's a train wreck, the corporate powers that be are ADJUSTING the laughter so it appears APPROPRIATE. I worked in a mental institution. The very basic definition of insanity is "inappropriate laughter". WHO decides what's "appropriate"? Apparently, corporations. Not you.

The fact that the writer of this article and his wife are long time Alaskan residents and activists against Palin should be noted here but shouldn't over-ride the legitimacy of the complaints being made.

As long as the media is more sophisticated than the average consumer this typa shit is bound to continue.

Be Well.

Oddly enuff, just finished watching Jon Stewart's take on Scary's Tonight Show gig.

Stewart did a great piece on 'Fair and Balanced' FoxNews called "Anchor Management". Every one of their hosts - daytime 'news' and evening 'opinion' had the same 'shove it down our throats' commentary. Almost word for word.

www.thedailyshow.com

SPUD

The guy was at the taping and is an audio engineer. I'll take his word about the laugh track, regardless of his personal views of Palin. I would never have thought they'd use a laugh track on Leno or any other late night show...that it's use was limited to innane sitcoms.

I'll take his word about the laugh track, regardless of his personal views of Palin.

Spud too.

That noted, to not note this couple's track record on Palin wouldn't be particularily fair or balanced, now would it?

^_^

I would never have thought they'd use a laugh track on Leno or any other late night show...that it's use was limited to inane sitcoms.

Pretty much Spud's take too.

That noted the use of a laugh track in order to "sweeten" or completely replace the sounds of a real audience has been a staple since the technology was invented in 1950.

Fer twenty years almost all the comedies on teevee had laugh tracks. The laughs were all recorded during the Red Skelton show, oddly enuff. This continued until All in the Family bucked the trend in the 70s and proudly announced the show was "recorded in front of a live studio audience". Soon other shows like The Odd Couple followed suit.

In recent years the trend has been towards avoiding laugh tracks. Shows like The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Trailer Park Boys, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Flight of the Conchords are all made without the use a laugh track and are all highly successful.

Live on tape comedy shows like Leno and special events like the Oscars with it's 7 second delay have actually been using the tech to "sweeten" and "de-sweeten" wot they deem "inappropriate" laughter levels fer years.

At the end of the day Spud feels that Leno's use of the technique is not part of some over-reaching media conspiracy but merely an attempt to make the show seem better than it actually is in order to garner better ratings.

That sed, it's always good to see behind the curtain and note the manipulation going on.

Be Well.

"Anchor Management"

Yup, funny stuff.

A 2 hour "Fair and Balanced" look at the health care debate wherein every single voice is against it?

Parroting talking points from the opinion shows note for note?

FOX's NILF there proved yet again that anyone who thinks FOX doesn't shamelessly politicize their so-called "hard news" as well as their opinion programs aint paying attention at all.

Willfull ignorance.

The worst ignorance of them all.

Be Well.

But Palin's addicted to fame.

Murph, you may like her, and want her to run, but Nanc is spot on.
Palin was plucked out of obscurity because she was young, hot, and said all the right things to the right people.
She wasn't properly vetted, she was CAST. And she's playing the role.
But she quite simply cannot play in the NFL.

She'll make her money from books, lecture circuits, talk shows, reality TV, and what-not, but any future she has in public office is imaginary.

You may feel she is "the conservative", because she's saying all the right things to you, but she was CAST, and she's been learning her lines.

There is neither depth nor gravitas in her, and any serious attempt on her part to run will be ridiculous.

Even this woman's family is not sacred enough to not be used for some sort of gain.

I hate it when people pimp out their families to reality TV. Palin doing this is as sleazy as the Gosselins.

Guess what? They had to add a laugh track. She bombed in the studio. The crowd didn't laugh or cheer nearly as much as the broadcast would have led viewers to believe.

WTF? Some guy on the Daily Kos whining about editing of a Palin interview? lol! This is why I'll die inside if Palin is the nominee, cuz I'll have to vote for the same sack of shit that the nut balls at the Daily Kos support.

*laughing at Murphy*

Go ahead and vote her, idiot. See what happens.

www.youtube.com

I can't believe she even has as much support as the polls show.

Fuck she's annoying.

On a similar note, I wonder if they use the laugh track for Leno all the time as well.

He is one seriously unfunny SOB.

girls can't be president. Hillary! proved that; she was the presumtive nominee but got knocked out by an inexperienced negro

I watched her read shit off of her hand before and was uncer the impression that she hates celebrities. Is SARAH! at odds with herself,,, again?

What about my girlfriend W?

Jeff Gannon.

Making fun of Sarah Palin isn't a "Left/Right issue. It's a human issue; people like to make fun of stupid people who somehow make it into their living room every night via their television set. And, if Palin doesn't like ridicule she shouldn't say/do so many stupid things in front of a nation-wide audience...

Good grief, she was in Calgary today.

Odd that Sarah "Who Doth Protest Too Much" Palin complained about her family being the focus of so much media attention would sign up to do a "travelogue/documentary series featuring the Palin family traveling across Alaska."

What a load of horseshit. You can stop fantasizing, Murphy. That stupid bitch is never going to be president.

Or Muffy's lover.

SARAH!!'s fallen in love with the cameras. She's the Paris Hilton of politics. No skills, just an overblown ego and a name.

Yes, this is a brilliant move on Palin's part: brilliantly transparent.
