When Bush was in office some people defended everything he did, and denied up until the end that he was fucking up big time.
Now that the fake left are in the White House the fake left are the "support our man at any cost" crowd.

I call them the fake left because they are the new Neocons.

Well, the U.S. did invade afghanistan. And there is the above the law oligarchy looting the Treasury, and adored by the right-the guys Bush called his "base".

But righties like aflac refuse to see guys like Ken Lay as anything less than all-American super patriot role models. Them and the domestic terrorists in the tea bag organizations (when they're not blowing up government buildings).

Oh yeah- the righties treat Reagan like the commies treated Lenin-I'm surprised Ronnie wasn't pickled and put in a glass box too.

This right-verses-left bickering misses the larger issue. Every time the federal government passes a law or regulation, every time the president signs an executive order, every time the Supreme Court ignores the Constitution, the federal government grows more powerful and your liberties are reduced while your property rights become less secure. If carried to its logical conclusion, the US is heading towards a totalitarian style government. If you sheep on the right and the left don't want to be eaten for dinner, you better start thinking about resisting this trend instead of encouraging it.

I too agree.

We see the Repubs whining and fussing about the Demos (sometimes justifiably so), while doing similar stuff of their own. Then we see the Demos doing a mirror image of the Repubs while the government gets bigger, sucks in more financial resources, and continues to gain ever more control of people's lives.

If the Repubs don't takeover the Tea Baggers, maybe there is a chance for real change soon. If not, then I wonder what calamity will have to occur before real change takes place.

Wasn't this a mini-series from the 80's with Kris Kristofferson?
