"DUH"...

It's funny in light of this study, the NewsCorp is working on this deal:

News Corp. and Microsoft are reportedly in "early stage talks" to cut an exclusive deal that would prevent Google from indexing the media conglomerate's news Websites some of which include The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post and others. The deal will allegedly give Microsoft's Bing search engine the exclusive rights to deliver search results and news pages with New Corp. content, according to The Financial Times.

Talk about a way to lose readers. I wouldn't waste time going to Bing so I could read ANY of NewsCorp's papers.

Online news has become more popular than reading newspapers

Yup. its true. most americans would rather get critical news updates at the online version of the NATIONA ENQUIRER than waiting to read about it while at the supermarket checkout line...

I still like my paper in addition to online.

Newspapers are a day late these days but I must admit that I love opening my door in the morning and getting the local paper for the local news. Also helps to start my woodstoves.

let them all go bankrupt. they betrayed the public in favor of the owners since the founding of this country. fuck em.

Pigs at the trough!

Sincerely,

Shawn.

How much money was spent on this study of really obvious things?

Nothing like coffee in the AM, reclining and working the daily crossword puzzle.

One of the most pleasant parts of my day since I retired.

On-line is just not the same, especially when I can use the daily to keep the sun out of my eyes when I nap.

That alone is worth fifty cents a day!

"Poll: Online News More Popular Than Newspapers" - This is from the Ministry of the Obvious I suppose. Print is dying and treeware is going with it. Good riddance.

But I don't have a computer in my bathroom.

It's up to newspapers to figure out a way to live with that startling statistic. My take is that they won't find a way to do this while they're being run by accountants and advertising people. herm

No shit

I second that, DrSoul.....

"DUH!" What was their first clue? Or maybe, what was their most recent clue?
