A woman angry with her boyfriend flung his puppy into a busy Hawthorne, Calif., street Thursday, where the animal landed atop a passing car and died after rolling under it, police and family members said Thursday. The girlfriend lashed out at the dog, says the boyfriend's mother, because she was upset that the boyfriend had told her to stay behind with the puppy while the rest of the family was going to pick up his 12-year-old twin sisters from school.
