New York Gov. David Paterson and his security detail may have pressured a Bronx woman not to pursue an assault case against one of his top aides, the New York Times reported this evening. The woman alleged that last Halloween in an apartment she shared with Paterson aide David W. Johnson, Johnson "choked her, stripped her of much of her clothing, smashed her against a mirrored dresser and [took] two telephones from her to prevent her from calling for help," the paper reports.
