Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.), an outspoken critic of Blackwater and other defense contractors who defrauded the government in connection to their work in Iraq, may have been rescued from Niger by the company during the recent coup. The chairman of Xe Services (Blackwater's new name) planned to testify to Congress that its subsidiary Presidential Airways evacuated Grayson from Niger.

That fucking "military industrial complex" strikes again!

This actually isn't a question anymore... Xe (Blackwater) did fly Grayson out of Niger.

And he's being very grateful for his rescue:

Grayson: I Stand By Criticism Of Contractors

They shoulda left him there.

Hooray for mercenaries! Just like the Roman Empire!

www.geopoliticalmonitor.com

And what if he was, most of their personnel were trained by the US military. Anything they did could have been done for a quarter of the cost by our own military in decades previous to the privatization of our military. We are in deep debt and using contractors is part of the reason. We should return to the practice of using US military personnel to protect embassies and other situations involving American diplomats and politicians on fact finding missions, etc.
BTW, if you watched 60 Minutes this past Sunday you would know Presidential Airlines is far from professional and is responsible for the deaths of American servicement because of their extreme incompetence. If Grayson was indeed flown out on Presidential he may have been in more danger from the pilot's inability to navigate than from the situation on the ground.

Grayson should have simply said, "Thank you for saving my life," not used it as another opportunity to shit on contractors.

This story is proof that contractors do a lot of good, and that Grayson is a Lerch looking piece of shit.

"This story is proof that contractors do a lot of good,.....at ten times the cost. With almost no accountability. Fuck the contractors and their rich profiteering corporate CEOs like Eric Prince.

Eric Prince is a fudgepacking bible-thumping thief. He should be staked out over a fire ant hill and have a bunch of Iraqi orphans with kill the ants with very sharp knives as they crawl over his body. Every time he passes out they should revive him with strong stimulants and double the number of ants. Stop just before he bleeds out, heal his ass for a week. Repeat until there is an 'oops' in the healing process.

Hey Axe, hows life treating you?

A Mother Jones article from Rob the Asshole?

Lulz au go-go!!!

Alan Grayson, one of the few heroes in the fight against the privitization of the US military, had to be evacced from Niger when the coup broke out? And because of the odious contracts with these asswipes he was evacced out on a flight from a plane owned by a Blackwater subsidiary? And Wobbo thinks he should somehow be grateful for that and stop bad mouthing those reprehensible criminal pricks?

Gawd, yer a fuucktard, Rob.

Blackwater and all their ilk are a major black eye to the image of America around the world. They are over-paid murderers, lawless rapists, unrepentant thieves, and uncharged war criminals and profiteers.

Fuck them with a stick.

Also fuck anyone who thinks their existence is a good or necessary thing.

Still, that noted, thanx fer linking to MoJo, cos that was a treat.

Be Well.

Shit if Pol Pot saved me from drowning I would at least thank him, Spud.

"We should return to the practice of using US military personnel to protect embassies and other situations involving American diplomats and politicians on fact finding missions, etc."

We're too over-extended for that absent a draft.

Blackwater/Xe should be allowed to break laws and steal from American taxpayers, because they once did something right?

How about ACORN, do you guys think they should receive federal tax dollars (i.e. taxpayer money) as well? They have helped save people's lives, as well (although most of those people are poor/minorities)

We're too over-extended for that absent a draft.

I think that's the second time I've seen you say that in the last few days. Are you in favor of reinstating a draft?

sounds like a scam to me.

The draft is the only way to keep the US out of needless wars.

The draft is the only way to keep the US out of needless wars.

---------

start with the major stockholders of the corporations and their kids.

then the congress/lobbyists and their kids.

and finally draft all there fucking professional sports figures with too mu time on their hands.

the war will be over before ink dries.

Sadly, its what motivates Americans to hit the street in protest of illegal wars, when every family potentially has some skin in the game.

"start with the major stockholders of the corporations and their kids.
then the congress/lobbyists and their kids."

That's why we had the college exemption the last time there was a draft... to avoid just that.

"kids" aren't drafted. 18 year olds make the decision to join on their own

Obviously, Blackwater engineered the coup so they could rescue this guy. Now, every time he complains about the company everybody will just snicker at him.

"Presidential Airways evacuated Grayson from Niger."

Umm, being evacuated isn't the same as being rescued. How many times have we seen a community evacuated prior to a storm? Nobody was swooping in to save them, they just got out.

Sorry Rob, your corporate idolization got the better of your grasp on reality. Ask wifey to adjust your meds.

This story is proof that contractors do a lot of good, and that Grayson is a Lerch looking piece of shit.

Bullshit.

It's proof that you don't give incompetent/fraudulent Companies TAXPAYER money to do what a Federal Employee or Service Man or Woman could do competently for a quarter of the cost of the mercenary.

Put everyone at Xe in prison for the next 20 years for fraud. And force them to give back all the money they stole.
Reinstate the Draft-and cut out the deferments-everyone serves-no matter what.

How is this story "proof" that you shouldn't give money to contractors, frankf2.5"?

"Grayson should have simply said, "Thank you for saving my life," not used it as another opportunity to shit on contractors.

Big fucking deal, they were paid to do it. Oh, so they fulfill their duties without unnecessarily killing civilians or sealing money/guns and everything is now okay? They are mercenaries and should be kept on a short leash, always.

Understand that Grayson doesn't really have a choice here. These mercenaries have largely taken over the task of escorting Congresscritters, Senators and other Big Wigs to conflict sites. So his choice is between not going to conflict sites and being criticized for that or using their services to see the trouble spots first hand and then getting dumped on by RW fucktards like Wob.

This is another non-story, another Faux Outrage O' The Day kinda thing from the shameless right.

Be Well.

I would too, I would also tell him that he was still an asshole...
