Not only audit the Fed, end the fucking Fed!

The discussion as to wether re confirm Bernake was pointless to me because the Fed exists and it doesn't matter who Chairs it.

I am wondering, can a Senator put an indefinite hold on a Fed Chair confirmation? I hope so. If Rand Paul gets elected this November to the Senate, I would hope he does this in 2014.

Ron Paul is Ross Perot on Oxycontin.

Hilarious that the far Right ditched Repubes for a Loonitarian.

I thought for sure this guy was going to win....

CORKY

That video was HILARIOUS! Thanks!

They can straw poll all they want.
Not enough balls to actually vote for him when it counts.

Corky, great video!
"The EPA has announced it has lost the Endangered Species list."

If Paul ever got nominated, he would be the first Pub since Goldwater I support for president. He is eccentric, but I agree with almost everything he has said. He is also the only member of Congress who has consistently voted against foreign expeditions and budget madness. Good man.

What a bunch of Tea-Bagging Morons. I wish they'd make their minds up:

TEA PARTY ON RON PAUL

Pardon: Dual post is consistant with a retorting-retorter.

Corky, I can see why you are smiling at the demise of the Republican Neocon machine, but all kidding aside, do you see the promise in fiscal conservatism and liberty.

If you read from this group without prejudice, you would agree with 90% of it.

Funny...

I can see that you are laughing at the Republicans. Yes, they messed up and are now being taken over by the Conservative people of the US. Not a small group of people... probably 200 million string.

But, let me ask you something and be honest. Do you like what's happening in Washington? Of course you hated the war spending, I've heard you talk about it. But, I didn't hear you complain about the trillions of dollars being spent over and above of what we need in the Obama administration. Do you want a National Health Care plan after knowing now that we will not be able to afford to cover everyone with the high level of medical care we have now?

I guess my question is, do you take the Democrats who are proving to be just as stupid, self-serving, and irresponsible as the neocons in the last eight years?

How can you defend the present actions in Washington when they are as bad or worse than the Bush years?

Be honest. All I want you to say is that the grass roots Conservative movement might have some merit. Crazy as that sounds.

You can make fun of me for being sober, but I just want to know if their is a shred of sincerety in any Libs on the Retort.

Morons? Why? How?

This movement is gaining speed, weight and momentum over the last few months!

It's going to be the major factor in the 2010 election!

Just to put it in perspective, 2 months ago, I would have said they would have had "influence". I'm talking about dominance now!

What a bunch of Tea-Bagging Morons. I wish they'd make their minds up:

Dude, where are you? What the fuck do you mean?

I can't wait for this explaination!

"Do you want a National Health Care plan after knowing now that we will not be able to afford to cover everyone with the high level of medical care we have now?"

Are you disconnected from reality Eddie, just the past couple of weeks we've been reading about increases in insurance costs of 39%, even up to 60%. The only way we are going to be able to afford quality health care will be through a single payer national plan. And your ridiculous estimate about how many people are in your "conservative movement" is laughable.

You're another partisan hack! You want a national healthcare system so badly that you don't realize that all Americans, both parties, want Health Care Reform!

We can do it cheaper and better by changing some major things and making it in American's hands.

It's the Federal government regulation that makes it expensive!

Get rid of the exemption from anti-trust for insurance companies and price will plummet!

Of course, there are other factors,

The Obama/Pelosi/Reid attempt with their version of Health Care Reform is just as stupid and arrogant as a President invading Iraq. OK?

There are other ways to skin this cat, let's all consider them. OK?

If you don't, then you are GONE! VOTED OUT!!

This arrogant attempt to keep this failed reform bill alive is fucking insane.

And your ridiculous estimate about how many people are in your "conservative movement" is laughable.

#14 | Posted by danni

What's laughable is that you actually believe Oberman and Maddow! They are "commentating" that bullshit so that you will watch it! There is no truth to it!

No, Einstein, the Conservative movement has the potential to influence most of the 2010 voters.

The message is Fiscal Responsibility and Liberty.

These are 2 things Obama is ignoring and the people are pissed!

Danni,

What really gets me is that someone, like you, who is reasonably educated and understands how our government works, can actually believe that a Nation Health Care plan can sustain the level of Medical that Americans have had. National Health Care is a compromise--lower cost for "adequate" health care.

We need what Obama said a year ago: "A unique American Solution to Health Care". I like this!

He sure do talk pretty! I want him to follow up on his words!!!

I WANT MY PRESIDENT TO COOPERATE WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!!

Interesting juxtaposition of comments...health insurance is too expensive because it's too highly regulated...but the solution is to remove an exemption from federal regulation enjoyed by insurance companies....

What? I just explained it completely in the shortest simplest way and you still got it wrong?

Why are you stalking me? Do you have a man-crush or something?

This is getting wierd, Danforth.

You are picking at my comments when there is nothing wrong with them. I think you are crushing because I kicked you ass once too many times.

Me thinks she doth protest too much!

Wrong, you assume.

No. That's what I think after considerable consideration of the wee lad's posting history, my dear.

"You think because I oppose you that I am a Republican and support all of their neocon agendas."

They're all that way. They suppose you LOOOoooved Bush's policies if you don't like Obama's policies. It just doesn't compute in their beady little minds that you could possibly disapprove of BOTH.

Um, how many times did you clowns vote for Bush?

"Um, how many times did you clowns vote for Bush?"

I never voted FOR Bush...but I damn sure voted AGAINST Gore and Kerry.

Thanks for that knowledge Jestbeinganidiot.

"Thanks for that knowledge Jestbeinganidiot."

Great! Now Jackass has a bit of knowledge....FINALLY! Just trying to fill that cerebral vacuum for ya', ol' buddy.

So.... you voted for George Bush, twice, and yet have the nerve to complain about people who are trying to clean up the mess you helped create?

Typical.

Finally, a republican wins that I actually agree with 90+% of the time, and the only one that seems to have half the brain that you have to drastically cut government spending to get out of debt! (what a novel thought)

According to Corky, once someone votes for a particular president, they then have to agree with and support everything that president does. No complaining. That explains why Corky has his head is so far up Obama's ass.

Corky,

I'm a third party voter.

When are you going to get it?

I don't buy in to the Federal Matriarchal thing!

You do. I don't! OK?

You are a Socialist, I am not.

Understand?

We've all known that for a couple of years now, Eddie, and it hasn't made you appear any smarter.

Jumbo missed the part about how if one voted for GW, twice, no one has to listen to anything they say about politics for another 8 years.

"So.... you voted for George Bush, twice, and yet have the nerve to complain about people who are trying to clean up the mess you helped create?"

I already told you I didn't vote for Bush, I casted votes against Gore and Kerry. I am NOT pleased with the "mess" Bush made but I felt the mess Gore would make would be worse.(LOL...that clown, LOL) and Kerry wouldn't be any better.
NOW...if you wanna talk MESS, consider THIS:

Final budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party. They controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009, as well as FY 2010 and FY 2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat BELATEDLY got tough on spending increases.
For FY 2009, though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets.
And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009.

Let's remember what the deficits looked like during that period:
If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the LOWEST in five years, and the FOURTH straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what he's saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

As "loony" as Ron Paul might seem, I bet he wouldn't have nominated a Wall Street insider to oversee the bailouts.

You are a Socialist, I am not.
Understand?
#47 | Posted by Eddie

LOL. Corky a socialist?

LMAO. Really.

So.... you voted for George Bush, twice, and yet have the nerve to complain about people who are trying to clean up the mess you helped create?

Typical.

You are still assuming that because he says something against Obama that he voted for Bush.

This is weak!

What you are saying is that because Bush was a bad President it gives the Pelosi/Reid/Obama team the right to spend our grandchildrens' money and flush our freedoms down the toilet?

BULLSHIT!!

I don't support the neocons and neither does justgetting.

However, you DO support Obama and that makes you resposible for the bad economy we are experiencing.

Hey! You might be interested in buying a nice piece of land I have just a mile east of Miami.

Ok, because I don't support Obama and I completely oppose EVERYTHING that Obama has done, I'm not smart?

Why do you think that people with different ideas are not smart?

I'll bet the British Subjects living in the Colonies around 1776 said that Patriots with different ideas about independence were not smart. Hell, one could get killed for thinking that way.

Then let's focus on Health Reform.

Cap and Trade should just go away.

If none of this happens, then we will take over starting in 2010.

Why do you think that people with different ideas are not smart?

Did George Bush veto the Democrat's Bills?

As the Dems blame Bush for 8 years of deficits, - it's true. The Dems join the blame for 2007 to the current.

Dems passed the House, Reps passed the Senate, and Bush signed it.

Dems own it all now, just like the Reps did for 6 years.

This explains it all.

You call me names because I threaten your security.

You are secure with the Pelosi/Reid/Obama machine expanding the size of government by taking over major American industries in the country and paying for it with the assets of the successful, hard working folks!

Sorry, but I'm not in the business of making someone who can't be self-reliant "feel" secure. GET A FUCKING JOB!

You call me names because you are too stupid to realize that there is a "Uniquely American Solution" (Obama's words) that does not require a Republican or a Democrat to come up with it.

(In other words, I'm handing your ass to you, so I'm a clown? )

This actually makes sense... LOL!!! You're a child!

Eddie, you are a stupid, stupid man!!! WAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

GET A FUCKING JOB!

Sorry, I'm not hiring right now, but if I were... it would still be no dice for you, Clown Boy.

OBAMA'S agenda is not good for America. Americans don't want it!

This is just more rethug bullshit. The country hates "Obama's agenda"...blah blah blah. Be real. It is the rethugs who hate Obama not the country. The country is angered by the gridlock.

You spew So much rethug tripe u look like you are on the payroll with AFKbabble. You may say you are not supporting the Rethugs but yet you are spouting their party of NO! motto as though you were getting paid by the word.

Gridlock Washington to discredit Government to discredit the party in power. That is the plan and it is working beautifully thanks to idiots like you who suck it up.

The fact is Obama has put forward a very aggressive agenda under very trying circumstances. For you to say the Stimulus is NOT working is just a plain lie and more REthug propaganda. Also, you go on and on spewing bullshit about Obama when all the bills come from Congress and it is Congress that is gridlocked...not Obama.

Congress is gridlocked because the Rethugs threaten to filibuster EVERYTHING.

It is you Eddie that should learn to read and think for yourself a not let the rethugs do your thinking for you.

I hope Ron Paul does run as he could be another Ross Perot and energize the elections to deal with the actual problems and break the vicious cycle of partisan bickering in this country that the Rethugs have become so good at capitalizing.

Ron Paul will be good for this country as he just might break the two party deadlock.

What?

Most of what I say is coming from the Conservative movement. What you and neocons like to call the Tea Party.

I don't hang with the Tea Party crowd, but am of the mindset of the larger Conservative movement.

Obama is the monster right now. The neocons are next, once the Socialist is gone.

Let me understand something.

Do you actually read what I am writing objectively? Or do you comprehend it in your little world...

What you need to do is to start thinking that there is more to the Republican/Democrat duality and realize that there is more to the upcoming election.

This is part where you start making fun of my grammar and spelling

"This is just the Cons having no one to vote for."

That's correct. But having no one is still better than having Obama. Sucks to be you. Don't know if Paul will be able to keep it up, I hope not. But then again, we really do need someone we can actually believe in. No Palin, no McCain, no Huckabee. Maybe Romney, but who knows. We have a couple of years though. The Dems had better start looking, too. Obama is flopping around like a fresh-caught halibut being beaten with a club.

The fact is Obama has put forward a very aggressive agenda under very trying circumstances. For you to say the Stimulus is NOT working is just a plain lie and more REthug propaganda.
#75 | Posted by donnerboy

Sorry, to say but it's not working and the Republican Propaganda Machine is right on this one.

Just so that you understand where I'm coming from, I don't subscribe to much of what they say.

For example, they skate around Corporatism and think it's not a problem. It's most certainly a problem and it's what's driving up the cost of Medical Care. Obama's slution to correct this is not the answer either! There are many solutions that need to be considered. Obama WILL NOT DO IT!

However, the Republicans must listen to what Americans want or they're out too.

But, that's not what we're talking about now. We are talking about the misguided Liberals who are taking what the Pelosi/Reid/Obama is guiding them (and the rest of US) into.

This is what's in front os US now. The neocon agenda is still looming and I think that's going to be a fight we might lose.

At least getting rid of the Libs in Washington is doable at the moment, but the neocons are supported by the ubber rich of the world and that may be too much.

Do you actually read what I am writing objectively?

Hard to wade through the muck to get to anything intelligent but I read your rantings. Understanding them is a different matter.

Sorry, to say but it's not working and the Republican Propaganda Machine is right on this one.

No they are not. They are lying to you and you are sucking it up. It is not working because the Rethugs have successfully gridlocked DC by blocking and delaying every vote.

If you can't see this you are retarded.

However, the Republicans must listen to what Americans want or they're out too.

The Rethugs have already proven they could give a shit about what Americans want... where were you for the last 8 years?

Ron Paul will be good for this country as he just might break the two party deadlock.

#75 | Posted by donnerboy

I don't think you know anything about Ron Paul because what I am talking about is his agenda.

What's funny is that he doesn't claim it as his "Agenda". All he says is, "Let's just follow the Constitution" and the rest falls into place.

(here call the Women's Suffrage and anti-slavery deflections)

Donner, the Republicans are not all evil. Some still maintain the Conservative mindset.

Just because I sound like the "Rethugs" doesn't mean I subscribe to the neocon agenda...

Comeon you guys. Think outside the box that they gave you!

#84 | Posted by donnerboy

BULLSHIT!

Please, donner, be honest!

This is what the Rethugs are saying:

The stimulus sent money to the states to:

- bolster unemployment claims
- Fund infrastructure projects
- keep state goverment jobs

Anything else? No.

This is not enough to "get the economy" going.

It was a bad plan and it's not working. We could have put the same money into GIVING (not loaning) the money to small business and it would have actually created jobs!

-- The unemployed would have had a job.
-- States would be collecting more taxes to fund infrasturcture projects
-- States would have more tax money to keep state jobs (if they were actually needed)

Yes, this is what the Rethug Propoganda Machine is saying, but they are right about it!

I don't agree with what they think in Health Care Reform.

You are just as shallow as Danni and Corky.

#86 | Posted by Eddie

or maybe it is you that is "shallow". Don't see anything deep about your rantings that is for sure. Just more Rethug tripe.

So carry on with the plan of the day to delay and drag and debate any real reform to death. You will not understand until it is too late little froggy.

Donner, the Republicans are not all evil. Some still maintain the Conservative mindset.

Just like all Muslims are not evil... I get it Eddie.

But if you still don't think the Republican Party is "evil" read this article.

Maybe it will help you change your tune.

Donner,

Do you see now that I am a Conservative and not subscribing to the neocon agenda?

Corky did and he left with his tail between his legs. Which is just stupid because I was not attacking him only trying to get him to loosen up and think outseide the box.

Unfortunately, you can't support Obama without attacking the Republicans.

You MUST do this in order to make Obama look good.

How pathetic is that?

I was "hoping" that Obama would change it and cut the insane spending and allow US to live within our means.

I was also hoping that he would not be a warmonger. But, there is still hope for that.

But if you still don't think the Republican Party is "evil" read this article.

Maybe it will help you change your tune.

I get it! I agree with you, but we're not talking about that right now.

And it doesn't change my mind about Obama.

The Pelosi/Reid/Obama shit on Health Care Reform is imminent and we have to stop this crime.

You would agree with that wouldn't you?

Shouldn't Obama stop trying to pass his idea and start over?

I think he should.

Oh, Corky? Where are you?

So carry on with the plan of the day to delay and drag and debate any real reform to death. You will not understand until it is too late little froggy.

no he should "Stay the Course".

In this case doing what he thinks is right in spite of what you think will be good for you and the country...unlike the war of aggression against Iraq.

On the anniversary of the Iraq war moving into it's sixth year, it was pointed out to Dick Cheny that two thirds of the population did not support the war.

His reaction was "So?"

Obama should say to you and those like you that do not support his agenda on Health Care.

"So?"

"because I kicked you(sic) ass once too many times."

Since when is never too many?

Obama should say to you and those like you that do not support his agenda on Health Care.

"So?"

Donner, this is just too funny. Are you high right now?

The stupid arrogance is extraordinary.

I tell you that I don't subscribe to your bullshit Democrat vs Republican...

What do you retort with? Democrat vs. Republican!

LOL!!!!

Are you being arrogantly stupid on purpose?

In other words, you haven't said anything yet. You haven't made your argument yet...

It's like you're throwing a punch, but you're 20 feet away from me facing the other way.

I tell you that I don't subscribe to your bullshit Democrat vs Republican...

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....

btw- eddie- this is a blog...not a chat room. Sometimes we leave for a while then come back... don't construe that as any concession on our part to your argument. Some of us actually have lives outside of BlogWorld.
