That money would have saved the NY transit authority. It would go a long way to keeping California out of bankruptcy. But because Reid is down by double digits, it's going to Nevada.

Did you even read the story? It's $1.5 billion in housing-related aid to five states that are leading the nation in foreclosures -- Arizona, California, Florida, Michigan and Nevada. It's not a gift to Harry Reid in Nevada, nor could it realistically be expected to make a significant difference in his re-election changes.

This was TARP money that was paid back to the American taxpayer.

Obama is using it as a slush fund for his bs buy offs to get Reid re-elected.

Where in the TARP bill does Obama get the authority to take those funds and spend them for other tan TARP purposes??

Funny. TARP money that was used to bail out banks because they wrote a lot of crummy mortgages, is now being recycled to homeowners to took out a lot of crummy mortgages.

It keeps getting better, and Obama can't seem to help himself. Not only will it not do much with respect to foreclosures, it's guaranteed to give Obama/Reid/Geithner a lot more than $1.5 billion worth of bad headlines from the other 45 states.

I'm not immune to the politics. I just think a lot more's going on with this decision than local political concerns.
