HARRISBURG, Pa. States may be forced to reduce benefits, raise taxes or slash government services to address a $1 trillion funding shortfall in public sector retirement benefits, according to a new study that warns of even more debilitating costs if immediate action isn't taken.

Hmmm...looks like the ones in the worst shape are mostly "red" states.

I think a better thing to cross reference would be which are 'right to work' states and which arent

Take a look at the Stock market between 2004 and the day Smirky the Wonder Chimpy left office. Then take a look at the last year's results.

That explains the shortfal of pension plans as well as individual retirement accounts. It is going to take a lot longer to get all that wealth back, kiddos.

Think about that when you get ready to vote this coming November. Do you REALLY want the Party of Fail to have any more power than it already does?

It's one of the signs that proves America can no longer afford a government of this size. Much downsizing to come.

This is an easy one: cut benefits, increase layoffs, and make them work longer.

Let's start with MAKE THEM WORK. That'll cut the workforce by 2/3, easily.

Of course we'll need some factories that actually build/manufacture things so they'll have a place for the 2/3 to work.
