Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine released a Hypocrisy Hall of Fame that lists 93 Republicans who opposed the stimulus bill but who now want money from it for state projects. "These are Republicans who chastised the Recovery Act while attending ribbon-cutting ceremonies," said DNC chairman Tim Kaine. They're playing a hypocritical game, and they're just playing politics with this issue."

GOPhers behaving like hypocritical liars? Shocking!

Tim Kaine is playing politics, not the RNC. They opposed it; it passed. They have every right to it.

Why don't they release the rest of it now instead of waiting til just before the elections?

-They have every right to it.

They have every right to go in front of their constituents with big oversized checks with their signature and the state seal on the check, in ribbon cutting ceremonies, no less, and pretend that this is money that they fought to bring home?

Ok.

Appears that Sen Bayh is one.

And while we're pointing out hypocrites, let's also call foul on all those libs here who kept their Bush tax cuts, rather than give them back!

you lied when you said I lied about you lying.

pass the pork.

Let's see if I have this right.

Obama and the democrat congressional super majority narrowly pass a near trillion dollar bill filled with left wing earmarks that have been sitting on the shelves for years and make all sorts of borrowed money available for the taking, and then those voting no (a bunch of conservative demos included) should not then grab some of the bucks (soon to be play Monopoly money) graciously made available by the Barack, Nancy and Harry? Come on. We're not talking altruism here. We're talking reality.

Timmy should get a handle on reality and stop his elitist tut-tutting.

I can't wait for the election ads showing Rtard incumbents as little marionettes voting NO after NO after NO on bills and amendments that would help working Americans and servicemen. The camera pulls back and reveals a maniacal Michael Steel pulling their puppet strings while lobbyists stuff his pockets full of money.

Good for you Kaine! These republicans (if they can even be called that) deserve to be booted out for their hypocrisy. It's high time we elected some real conservatives and not these two-timing, back-room dealing crooks!

Hey Axe, I liked the poll that came out today showing that a majority does not want Obama for a second term, already, but I'm sure that's the GOP's fault now isn't it?

#10 -- yea, you said that yesterday, axe. But at least this time you left out the fisting part. Thanks for that

Let ME get this straight.

The ones that voted for the huge giveway are the good guys and the ones that voted against it are the assholes?

Now there is lib logic.

I'll donate $50 to every elected Republican who stands out in front of a socialist/communist/muslim stimulus-funded work project and demands that it be stopped. At the same level of fiscal risk, I'll give $50 to every Detroit Lion who wins the Superbowl.

And for the record, I predicted this kind of Republican crap before the bill was even signed.

See? The Democrats are PROJECTING the fact that their leadership are a collective of base liars, and by rubber-gluing the "hypocrisy" insult back at Republicans, who have been noticing the spinning dervishes' lies that have been issuing from the DNC, et al.

Democrats can get *direct* graft by selling their vote(s) to Obama/Pelosi/Reid, but if Republicans suggest, in writing and after the fact, areas where Stimulus Money can be spent to good effect, they are HYPOCRITES!

That's the only BIPARTISANSHIP to result from the Democrats in allocating Stimulus Money ... virtual lies to make Republicans look "evil" for the party's benefit.

And, look at the goosestepping vermin who agree with another lie generated for Rcade's "interest".

Did it whiz past your ilk that suggesting spending on money already dedicated to Stimulus is NOT hypocrisy ...?

No, of course not because you leftists are cement-for-brains, lying political weasels with your greedy teeth sunk into the nation's pocketbook ....

Democrats uber alles!

"Victory for Welfare" is the mantra of the leftist Democrats imitating another socialist, lying regime of history ...

Snippy is trying real hard to displace the Goatfart as the biggest moron on DR.

Snips, the assholes are the ones that voted against the funding but stand there with big shit-eating grins and claim credit for money pouring into their districts.

I guess it is too much to ask for you to understand hypocrisy.

#17 Kindof like Biden and Obama voting against the surge and then taking credit for it working? Is that what you mean Axe?

Snippy is trying real hard to displace the Goatfart as the biggest moron on DR.

If posing questions to you that you can't answer without exposing yourself as a hypocrite and pointing out the inanities of your posts makes me a moron, I wear the badge proudly and sniper's going to have to fight me for it.

"Snips, the assholes are the ones that voted against the funding but stand there with big shit-eating grins and claim credit for money pouring into their districts."

As opposed to the assholes who take money from other states and give it to their own?

Here's my "kinda like":

It's kinda like being opposed to overloading your cruise ship with excessive passengers, and then being called a hypocrite for fighting for a life preserver after the ship capsizes.

Forking morons can't seem to grasp the concept of hypocrisy. It is no wonder the Party of Fail is so full of them.

So in your world they should tell their citizens that they are going to have to pay money that goes to other states and get nothing in return?

"Tim Kaine is playing politics, not the RNC. They opposed it; it passed. They have every right to it."

YEAH!
I too admire the "rights" stand on "principle".

This sort of reminds me of the rights "deeply held conviction" in regards to the Ten Commandments (i.e. they abandon it in preference to mans law when they get caught in contradiction with the Ten Commandments).

The "right" before it passed:
We stand on Principle in Opposition to the Stimulus

The "right" after it passed:
We are Abandoning "principle" since it passed and anyone who points this out is playing politics.

Fucking Priceless!

I guess it is too much to ask for you to understand hypocrisy.

#17 | Posted by axe

But it isn't hypocrisy to take my tax money at the point of a gun and give it to someone else for their vote. That may not be hypocrisy but it sure isn't right.

You're saying that hypocrisy is worse than oughtright stealing my money. WTF over.

There's a massive difference between having a right to something and claiming responsibility for something, especially when that something probably saved our collective bacon.

If anyone who voted no has subsequently claimed that they were part of its success, then they are playing serious politics -- yell "nay", and if it fails you were right; if it succeeds, jump on the band wagon, and you're still right.

Don't defend hypocrisy out of idealogical loyalty. It makes you a chump.

Don't defend hypocrisy out of idealogical loyalty

Claiming I have RNC loyalty makes you a joke.

what a bunch of dumbasses, so the republicans should have their state pay for the shit the dems passed without any benefits of a spending bill fucking retard dems bull shit again OBAMA SUCKS

I think I responded to the wrong comment based on your comment

I thought Reinsurelaw/777 was temporarily exiled?

Reinsure law is posting while his other handle is exiled.

you think ...that is funny MOder

Reinsurelaw why are you posting while 777 is suspended?

The Top Ten reasons almost everyone in congress and the Senate should not be re-elected.

1.) The country and its people are drowning in debt and they just spend, spend, spend.

2.) And how do they pay for it? TAX, TAX, TAX.

3.) People still lucky enough to have a job face wage freezes and cuts but Congress gets its raise every damn year, no matter what.

4.) There's only one job for every six unemployed people who want it and they still want us to thank them for passing the stimulus bill!

5.) They love pork like a fat kid loves cake.

6.) The people work more hours for less pay. The Congress works Tuesday to Thursday, with three months of

paid vacation.

7.) If we ran our businesses using their accounting rules, we'd go to jail.

8.) They care more about buttering their bread with special interest earmarks than they do about ordinary Americans putting food on the table.

9.) Our 401(k)s took a bath, but financial reform for them means salmon, not steak.

10.) We're worried about our medical coverage and they spend six months to come up with a disaster.

Lets just start over from scratch.

looks like jackasshole knows how to play with a new toy

The DNC has another dim light bulb as its head. If you vote againstt the stimulus bill and it still passes, of course you are going to try and get a portion of the available funds for your district/state. The people that voted for you and their future generations will be paying for this bill so they may as well reap some of the benefits of this ill conceived package. If Obama truly believes it is a success, he is very gullible when listening to his advisors or believes that the average American is exceptionally so.

If they wernt going to require the states that dont take stimulus money to pay any part of it back they would have a point. But since we all know thats not the case the DNC is wasting their PAC money trying to paint them as hypocrites. There money would be better spent trying to conveince us the stimulus is actually of benefit to more than the one currently at the feeding trough. Which we all know is more DNC BS. Hell even CNN has been doing pieces on the wasted money in the stimulus

Rcade knows the facts surrounding this effort to revile fellow Americans, but he avoids any such revelation in order to hatemonger for party.

Joe Goebbels would want to be Rogers, if only Republicans were "Evil Juden" ...

From the "can't get enough" crowd yet another post about R's accepting stimulus money. These posts are almost as popular as Palin posts, almost. And why shouldn't Republicans accept stimulus money? They are the ones that are paying for it.

rlv.zcache.com

"And why shouldn't Republicans accept stimulus money? "

They should.

But they should also proudly exclaim at the ribbon cutting ceremony, "I voted against this!"

Bowel Movement,

Another moron who doesn't know what Hypocrite means.

Oh that's rich! When Texas said the did NOT want any 'shovel ready' stimulus money, the dr left laughed, and mocked them saying "The more for us".Now you have the nerve to say anyone who asked for any is a hypocrite?

I would say those who received should pay taxes pro-rata to their benefits. Fair is fair isn't it?

The whole shovel ready deal was sold with the zero saying this would jump start the economy and create jobs. But now they tell us, it's backend loaded...and the jobs come on the back end. So I guess jobs were not the primary focus was it?

Also the zero now says only businesses creates jobs. Well duh, unless you are a democrat, then not sure where you are on that. Tell us what do gov jobs produce????

"what do gov jobs produce?"

Economic activity.

Didn't you ever see a diner spring up next to a military base?

Where ANY opened in 2009? DOUBT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe they should go around breaking windows, so somebody has to 'stimulate activity' and buy new windows!

maybe they should!

www.youtube.com

"Where ANY opened in 2009? "

No, but it's doubtless areas around construction sites funded by the stimulus saw an increase in business.

Aren't you a money guy? Shouldn't you already know this?

The 2009 Obama Stimulus Plan: Kill Two Birds With One Stone

Next, what are the important points? Think of the Obama stimulus plan as a "kill two birds with one stone" idea. We need roads and bridges. We need to create jobs.

Now he said today businesses create jobs. Phewww that is some higher thinkin there!!!!

My point is the monies spent, must come from taxes. Those taxes will drain money from the public, resulting in costs outpacing the benefits.

It's a net loss for everyone to spend money digging holes then filling them in, or building a 'bridge to nowhere'.

"It's a net loss for everyone to spend money digging holes then filling them in"

I agree. But where, specifically, is that happening?

Dave the Wanker,

What about a retard state like South Carolina. Some of the roads in that shithole will completely destroy an M1 Abrhams tank in a little more than 200 miles.

If they take the stimulus money and pave a few of their roads, employ a bunch of rednecks, make some of their contractors even wealthier and put a few auto repair shops out of business, wouldn't the net effect on the economy be good? Those rednecks would be able to buy more beer and purchase newer pickup trucks. The contractors could bribe even more politicians to throw contracts their way. The unemployed auto mechanics could get jobs at auto dealers to fix those trucks the drunk rednecks are going to wreck.

Everyone wins!!!

I totally agree that transportation infrastructure maintance and expansion.....are a net gain axe. That's why money shouldn't be pissed away on.....like 8 billion dollar hi speed train from orlando to disneyworld, or billions to ACORN

And there's no need to call me names, unless it inflates your ego...then have at it, I could care less.

"or billions to ACORN"

Another first-class fool who believes everything Fox News says and is willing to pass on an already-debunked lie.

Besides my posts a direct rebuttal of the dem spin machine, which is the 'new obama'....promoting ANGER instead of hope!

When Texas said the did NOT want any 'shovel ready' stimulus money, the dr left laughed, and mocked them saying "The more for us".

Wanker, you really are a fucking moron. ACORN is not getting squat from the stimulus.

Get your head out of Glen Becks ass and look at the real world once in a while.

And high speed rail is between Tampa and Orlando. Disnyworld is a little south of Orlando. Google Maps is a wonderful thing, fool. (But I do agree there are better things for Florida to spend money on that that.)

Stick to the thread danforth. Explain how the dems are right with their accusation, DARE YOU!!!!!!

"The whole shovel ready deal was sold with the zero saying this would jump start the economy and create jobs."

Obama was right. In Ohio over $1 million was spent on producing signs saying "This project is funded by the stimulus money..."

"Stick to the thread danforth."

You claimed "billions to ACORN". Are you truly that clueless, or are you just that embarrassed at someone calling out your bullshit?

Here's the header Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine released a Hypocrisy Hall of Fame that lists 93 Republicans who opposed the stimulus bill but who now want money from it for state projects. "These are Republicans who chastised the Recovery Act while attending ribbon-cutting ceremonies," said DNC chairman Tim Kaine. They're playing a hypocritical game, and they're just playing politics with this issue."

Here's my response

When Texas said the did NOT want any 'shovel ready' stimulus money, the dr left laughed, and mocked them saying "The more for us". CARE TO REFUTE THAT DANFORTH????

"Explain how the dems are right with their accusation, DARE YOU!"

The same hypocrites who are publicly decrying the stimulus are privately trying to get as much as they can, and then bragging about what they got. If they were honest, they'd at least go to the ribbon-cutting ceremonies and proudly proclaim they'd voted against it.

Again, you're supposed to be a money guy. You don't see the blatant hypocrisy? Or is this all about the letter after the name?

It's only the left that can accuse others of what they themselves are doing. You all should have Obama wave his finger in a mirror!

#61

What's to refute?

If these guys are so proud they stood against the stimulus money, why aren't they willing to proclaim as much at these project sites?

"It's only the left that can accuse others of what they themselves are doing."

Priceless.

"sniper's going to have to fight me for it.

Obviously it was, BUT the hands of the Repubuic hairs are not clean either....

I like these letters they're coming up with from thr riiight praising it and how many jobs it is creating. They're the same people who will tell you that it hasn't created 1 job and it kills puppies anytime there is a camera near them.

Why don't the GOP simply state at the ribbon cuttings that they voted against this project but we are here today for the betterment of the state blah blah blah.

Simple.

That would be honest. They could maintain their integrity then. Instead it DOES look hypocritical.

It either creates jobs and is working or it doesn't and isn't worth a fuck. Those are 2 completely different things, it can not be both.

It either doesn't create jobs:

republicanwhip.house.gov

"The common-sense, achievable solutions offered by Rep. Cantor stand in sharp contrast to proposals that simply expand upon the unfocused "stimulus" legislation from earlier this year that has driven the deficit to alarming levels while failing to create jobs."

Or it creates 80 to 160,000 jobs:

www.youtube.com

Also, if it doesn't create jobs what is the purpose of hosting job fairs that feature the jobs created by it?

thinkprogress.org

On Monday, Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) hosted a job fair in his district at Germanna Community College. Like his last job fair in August, Cantor used it as an opportunity to gain positive local press and launch attacks against President Obama.

At the fair, Cantor told reporters that the stimulus has been an "utter failure." But as the Washington Post has noted, nearly half of the "30 organizations participating" in Cantor's event "were recipients of the stimulus."

Why do people not retain what they read..... the senator stated twice...

He opposed the bill because of the lack of congressional oversight. He never stated that he opposed a stimulus package for other reasons than that.

He went far out of his way to get this money for his state by seeking the approval of congress before taking that money.

Most of the congress just wanted to hand it all out. We still don't know where the hell the tarp money went.

I think this guy was simply trying to avoid take two of the disappearing money trick.

Of course he will just get slammed here because of who he is.

snukie snaw snawf....

I totally agree that transportation infrastructure maintance and expansion.....are a net gain axe.

That's an interesting poll, especially when you consider that all of the republicans who voted against it think it worked.

It must suck trying to keep that all straight in your head, it's best to just tell the truth.

hey there's nothing in my head to keep straight..

One man's hypocracy is another man's fiscal resposibility.

I truly despise this special brand of ignorance.

I see reasonably intelligent people clinging to this last hope that the stimulus means something good.

The stimulus is failure, so let's attack the people against it.

Yet another failure from the Left.

Let me explain it to the lazy Left:

* Most Republicans who voted against this idiotic legislation were doing it out of fiscal responsibility

* Now, since they failed to head off the monster, they are forced by ethics to get their constituents' fair share of the "stimulus" money.

Why is this so hard to understand?

This kind of bullshit only fuels the anger from MOST Americans who are fed up with your shit!!!

Keep it up and start seeing planes fly into Federal Buildings!

Nothing hard to understand about taking their slice of the pie. HOWEVER, when you praise as the answer to all of your hopes and dreams in DC but then demonize it in certain that makes you a fucking liar. It's one or it's the other, it can't be both not working AND creating jobs for 80 - 160,000 people who live in your district. Why is this so hard to understand?
