Well I saw it in person on a flight to Pock E Stan , the Eskimo sitting right beside me kept rubbing his crotch while wearing a towel thing on his head then he pulled out a sandwich with a tail hanging out on one side and a fish head on the other. Kliff is one of the more moderate muslims I have met (if blogging can be considered "meeting" someone). Though I don't always agree with him, I've never heard him utter anything I'd consider "Islamic radicalism".

I personally find it very odd that people freak out over being searched by the TSA anyway. It takes ten seconds to a couple of minutes unless you're an ass about it. Even before 9/11 I remember a guy at an airport being very apologetic that he had to stop me to look at my laptop and I just thanked him for doing his job. Given what can happen if the wrong person is allowed on a plane, you have to be a real self important asshole to think 30 extra seconds of inconvenience on your part is a major issue.

It's because it doesn't take ten seconds to a couple of minutes. It's standing in line for forty minutes for the ten seconds, for what is ultimately a total waste of time. We can't take shampoo or toothpaste in carryons unless it's only enough to last two days. Random swabbing and searching is just an insult to the people who are randomly pulled out of line. And in the end, we're ultimately on our own anyhow. I'd rather do away with the pretense, and be allowed to carry a small knife or a club on the plane. The only good news on 9/11 was the passengers on Flight 93 who took matters into their own hands. Thanks to the TSA, we can't even do that.

I think profiling muslims is a swell idea. So, if they can do it, why can't we?
