A school which demands 24/7 right to moniter and punish is the biggest governmental intrussion in the lives of it's citizens that I can imagine.

IMHO, School boards have the right to limit behavior on school campuses. They have the right to control actions of students while the student is on schoool grounds.

Beyond that, they have no standing.

and god forbid your child goes to a private school, from what I can tell the school can rape your child as "discipline" and there is nothing you can do about it.

And they play "tag" there too! Oh heavens!
