I've yet to see a single one of the people for whom the terms "progressive" and "progressivism" have somehow morphed into pejoratives actually come up with definitions that even remotely comport with the reality of American political history.

Progressives want to redistribute the wealth of our country through vairous means, including the income tax named for their marxist ideology. Whereas Marxist believe in a radical revolutionary change, progressives prefer a more subtle approach in which people "evolve" to agree with their ideas of utopian society. Since the Constitution, if properly inforce, is a document that prevents redistirubion of wealth and centralization of power, they simply ignore it prefering instead to focus on case law. Obama threw a tantrum at the SOTU because the SCOTUS supposedly reversed 100 years of precent. They believe that precendetns should be followed regardless of whether they are compatible with the Constitution or not. Progressives believe the Constitution is a living documnt taht allows them to do anything they want in the name of protecting people from themselves.

Progressives want gun laws to slowly do away with the right to bear arms, and yet this progressive professor used a gun to make her point. Interesting.

Show me where the constitution grants corporations equal rights as humans.

She "made her point" on her brother too. He was most likely a Moderate Dem, and therefore didn't deserve to live.

Jackass, although corporatisons should not have the rights of "personhood" the people working in those corporations should not be prohibited by the government from speech just because of how many days left to an election. The issue that caused the court to want to want to hear the case again in September was the idea that under the law as it stood, the government could censor books, in other words, the author's rights to free speech would be censored because a corporation publishes the book.

I had a DREAM!

My dream is for an America we can ALL be be proud of and that the WORLD will look up to and respect once again. Not because they know and FEAR we can BOMB them into the Stone Age... but because they RESPECT our Democratic Principles as we lead them into a bright future...Obama offers me HOPE that the DREAM might just come true yet.
