Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

I own the "Network" DVD and was watched it last night. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it, it is rather poignant even today.

"I'm a human being God Dammit and my life has value!"

You don't have value. Labor is a commodity.

Today we have Glenn Beck pretending to be Beal, pretending to represent the frustrations of the working class but really working for the mega corporations, making millions, laughing at his listeners as he applies his Vicks Vaporub.
We don't even have real outrage, it pseudo outrage, manipulated to focus on whatever the corporate honchos want to focus it on.
Glenn Beck: "I want you to go over to the window and stick your head out and yell "I'm mad as hell and baaaaaaah!"

"The first known instance of a man being killed because he had lousy ratings."

To bad there isn't more of it. I can think of a couple of reality tv personalities who I wouldn't mind seeing going out like Mr. Beale. (sarcasm)

Baby Taxman is up. Time to head to the Mardi Gras! Catch you on the flip-side people.

Don't forget:

"All of life is reduced to the common rubble of banality."

Happy Mardi Gras!

Get "The Prisoner" on Blu-ray. Spectacular.
