I think some goods points were made. For example the idea that in American politics we don't need a third party, but a second party to counteract the one-party progressive government we've had for decades. Both the Dems and Republicans are but two factions or wings of the one progressive party. The reason people don't realize this is because politicians are geniuses at getting people to fight with one another. In general thought, both Rs and Ds are the same even if they look the same on the surface. This is why ballot access laws are set up to keep second parties away.
