Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Sunday, February 07, 2010

Four Tennessee tea party activists who said they couldn't afford the $550 tickets to the National Tea Party Convention staged a guerilla news conference just outside of the event to challenge its representation of the movement. "There are a lot of citizens in the state of Tennessee today who could not afford to be here particularly in this economy," said Antonio Hinton, a 37-year old tea party activist from Knoxville. "They're just as patriotic. They're just as concerned. They care just as much about what's going on as the folks that are in that room."

Reinshitbot's even more worried about it than the TN yokels, apparently, as he is with anything realted to teabagging.

Cookie, how come you removed Danforth's name from your profile? Also, have you stopped responding to your posts under a different handle(ted offensive). That is some pretty strange behavior that you should seek professional help for.

COOKFISH

You're welcome to teabag all you want to as far as Democrats are concerned if that's your thing.
We fight so you can do what you whatever you want in your own bedroom. LOL

REINHEIT

The boy isn't right, that's for sure. Showed up this morning drunk and stoned on percocet, trolled a two hour old post, and started being .. well, himself. Or were they Yuesling/Percocet antics? Needs rehab. Not sure asshole trolling has a facility. Don't care. LOL

The boy isn't right, that's for sure.

That's an understatement. It appears that being a complete asshole was a prerequisite for admission to the PWZ site and cookie passed that hurdle with ease.

REINHEIT

Just look at who Cooky's friends are:

-A fake paratrooper with a worn out Dennis Miller act who accuses every non-right winger on DR of being a 'liar' (see**) and brags about cheating on his wife.

-A miserable, bitter, angst filled cheesehead

All three rarely having anything halfway intelligent to say on a topic, but are instead brimming with a 9 year old's tripe.

You can tell a lot about people by the friends they keep ....

**"101 Got into it with me one day about navy gun fire and shore bombardments. He tried to tell me he was a gun fire spotter and was in charge of my fire mission and that He only requested White Phosphorous (Willey Pete) which is illegal under Geneva. I knew he was full of BS...."

Big tent - for those who can afford the price of a ticket.

All 4 of them.

"Cookie, how come you removed Danforth's name from your profile?"

It was a nasty divorce.

But those weeks he took my name were some of the most romantic ever!!!

I'll always love you....Mrs. Danforth!

"There are a lot of citizens ... who could not afford to be here", said Antonio Hinton, ... "They're just as patriotic."

Hmmm... I don't know.

It's probably best that they're separating the Real Americans from the Really-Real Americans.

Why can't everybody just love Obama and shut up!

There are Americans, then there are Real Americans who can afford to see Sarah!.

If you're one of the former, get to work!

--Real Americans who can afford to see Sarah!

All I wanna know was How was the cross burning?

Forking racists deserve some good death panel action!!!!

Perhaps they can have another convention where Palin pays her own airfare and speaks for free and hot dogs and beans is on the menu. They can charge a couple of bucks per head and sell Tupperware.

You can tell a lot about people by the friends they keep ....

in the end that's ALL i have going for me.

"First they came ..."

thanks DR.

doubled up, sorry. but RIGHT!

When are the fools going to realize that any attempt, especially on the rightywingdingy side of the aisle, to start a 3rd party movement will be taken over by special interest who will attempt to pass of corrupt Republican Mavriks as "a new direction"?

The very facts that it was only 2009 that all these "ordinary" folk began to notice the deficit and spending and that faux news actively promote them tell me that this astroturf effort was started by big $$$ status quo defenders using populist angst to maintain the political power of the well connected corporate plutocracy.

The hilarious aspect is that many of these so called deficit hawks are the same people that defended the debt and government expansion promoted by GWB for 8 years.

Hilarious!

Nice to know that at least ONE party can have some good old fashioned dissent.

#19: You mean the Democrats?

LOL!!!!

Classic!!!

726, if you've been paying attention, you would realize that this is all show! There is no attempt to start a 3rd party. Where do you see that?

This is all about stirring up the Republican Party.

Wrong!

What's hilarious is that you see the entire Republican Party as one person!

#23--That's not hard when the Repub leaders (politicians) are so very very good at marching in lockstep.

But in fairness, I often point out that no party, no group, is truly monolithic. And yet, the broad brush is commonly applied by many posters here, on and to both sides of the aisle. The entire Repub party is no more one person than are "the gays" or "union members" or "leftwing radicals." If you've ever applied that broad brush, Ed, what you just said lacks credibility. If you consistently point out your own side's use of the broad brush (or even inconsistently--I can't claim to critique every leftie who does it), then you have my respect.

Wait, are you talking about the almost monolithic oposition to Obama and the Dem Leaders in Congress?

That's pretty much a no-brainer, huh?

But on everything else, they are opposing opinions within the Republican Party.

Yes, I've said done that before, I admit.

But, gernerally, I will say "Libs", meaning the lefties on this thread or the Retort in general or I will secifically say "Obama and the Dem Leaders in Congress".

We all need to be more specific, no doubt.

Tea Partiers are smart, they know it takes money to fight thieves, liars, and propagandists...

You don't fight thieves, liars and propagandists by giving them the money.

Why can't everybody just love Obama and shut up!

Uh, because he hasn't allowed an attack on the American homeland?

In November 2008, just before the presidential election, only 20 percent approved of the job he was doing as president - the lowest of any president since Gallup began asking the question in 1938.

But Mr. Bush enjoyed a high approval rating of 90 percent -- the highest of any president -- following the Sept. 11 attacks in 2001.

Mr. Bush edged out his father for that highest rating. George H.W. Bush received an 88 percent approval rating in 1991 amid the success of the first Gulf War.

"Wait, are you talking about the almost monolithic oposition to Obama and the Dem Leaders in Congress? "

Yes, I meant Republican politicians. But not just Congress. The party machine is better at unified messaging (oof) than is the Dem party machine. Historically.

"But on everything else, they are opposing opinions within the Republican Party. "

Really? I don't see that. I mean, not in huge public ways. The Dems are generally much more public about their diversity (or their inability to come together, depending on one's perspective ; ) ).

"But, gernerally, I will say "Libs", meaning the lefties on this thread or the Retort in general or I will secifically say "Obama and the Dem Leaders in Congress". "

Thank you for clarifying. Too many people here toss out crap lines like "libtards" (or rethugs) or "the Left," as if we all are the same.

"We all need to be more specific, no doubt."

ABSOLUTELY. And I wish we all would do so. I have no doubt that said wish will remain unfulfilled, by and large.
