Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Sunday, February 07, 2010

This year's NFL Hall of Fame inductees are Russ Grimm, Rickey Jackson, Dick LeBeau, Floyd Little, John Randle, Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith. Links go to local coverage from their hometown papers. Smith and Rice were in their first year of eligibility. Little and LeBeau were veterans' picks, and LeBeau went in as a player, not a coach. Kudos to MSNBC for finding a picture of Smith and Rice in Cardinals and Seahawks uniforms, respectively.

CONGRATS to two outstanding worthy candidates!

COWBOYS 4 LIFE!

Absolutely. I can't think of 2 that are more deserving to be in the HOF.

Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith

Agreed. Two of the best, if not the best ever at their positions..... and hard werkers, not today's prima donnas.

CORKY - One of the few times we fully agree. A couple of great players.

As a Pats fan, it's worth noting to me that NE traded down with SF to let SF take Rice. One of many bad decisions which limited the Pats for years... and a decision which helped SF step into the NFL's elite.

/* I'm obviously very impatient about these sorts of things */

When San Francisco was at the top of the game football was more fun to watch. Reminds me of the greatest free safety ever, Ronnie Lott, was he ever inducted?

"Ronnie Lott, was he ever inducted?"

Yup:
