Scott Brown became the 41st Republican member of the Senate today after being sworn in this evening by Vice President Joe Biden. "I can't promise I will be right on every vote I make, but I have always tried to learn and grow and do the very best job I can on an everyday basis," Brown said after the swearing-in ceremony.

Here's hoping it officially kills the healthcare "reform" bill, but who knows. Every Democrat went to Med School so they may try to ram through what's best for all of us.

All the marxist girlie boys are putting on a show, al franken and the rest of the clowns, trying to avoid the lashback, if these marxist fucks had had their way, we would have had an anti-Constitutional obamacare, cap and tax, and the dunce and thief would have given amnesty to all the illegal parasites sucking social security, medicare/ medicaid dry, to the tune of 335 billion dollars a year, a fucking year , every year these fucks are robbing us blind, just so the fucking marxist can get a new low-life group of voters.

John McCain perfectly described. Couldn't have said it better!

If Massachusetts wants it they can have it. I don't care. What I care about is killing the national bill and Brown seems to be on board with doing all he can to try and help that cause. The Dems can pass healthcare (the one passed by the Senate that is) whenever they'd like. But for the moment it doesn't seem like they are willing. Good.

Most of you don't have a clue how bad this bill is. You like the sound of it, and the ideology of it. But when you get down to the details of it, its a terrible and really frightening bill. Hopefully its dead.

-really frightening bill

And here it took 911 to make Dennis Miller pee HIS pants.

I'm the only one that's studied the Bill, and besides, I'm smarter than you, so there!

I'm not smarter than you, I've never said that... I just know about a couple provisions in this bill that should really scare the crap out of you because it WILL effect how your doctor treats you and not in a good way.

Corky, did you know that in this bill primary care and family care doctors are financially punished for referring you to a specialist? So if your PCP thinks you have cancer but maybe cares more about his reimbursement rate he takes a wait and see attitude with that lump.

And I'm sure you won't address this. You'll gloss over it with another clever insult. But this, and the Independent Payment Advisory Board are in this bill and its going to be bad for anyone who can't afford to pay cash for their doctor.

American College of Surgeons and 18 other groups representing specialists are dead set against this.

Now here is where you say, "but the AMA is for it." Yes they are, but they are also primarily family care and primary care. The specialists... the ones who actually FIX what's wrong with you (that's why your PCP refers you elsewhere when you are sick) don't like the bill, and if you piss them off enough well I hope you have a lot of room on your credit cards.

ROB

Curious if you've read either the House or Senate versions of the bill? Here are the links if not:

HOUSE

SENATE

In other news, Sen. Richard Shelby of Alabama has put a blanket hold over ALL Obama administration nominees because of a $40 Billion pork barrel project he wants but the Air Force doesn't.

A 'blanket hold' (blocking ALL nominations) has never happened in American history.

Some 'fiscal conservative/patriot' eh?

Where are all those Republicans who were whining about the Democrats holding up Brown's swearing in???

Gee, doesn't it get old to be proven wrong every time you overreact to some complete non-issue???

A 'blanket hold' (blocking ALL nominations) has never happened in American history.

Redefining "obstructionist" fer a new century.

Wotta zebhead.

Be Well.

I can't see how anyone who considers themselves a fiscal conservative, as I do, can possibly support what Richard Shelby is doing, if in fact it's over concessions for his state. Time for Alabama to find someone to take his place that won't stand around with his hands out to the Feds.

Look, dumbass, you can only whine about something that is happening N-O-W. Nobody can whine about a future event.

The word you wanted, but are not capable of grasping is "speculate."

That's what you think of as a 'big word' and means to wonder about the future.

If you are going to attempt to use English, at least learn a little bit of it.

Look, dumbass, you can only whine about something that is happening N-O-W. Nobody can whine about a future event.

/obligatory.

Be Well.

"The problem for (Brown) is the Republican Party that will welcome him in Washington is the Republican Party that will prevent him from getting re-elected in Massachusetts in a couple of years," said Wendy Schiller, a Brown University political science professor. "If he goes into that party and he toes the line with that party, he can't get re-elected."

It seems Mr. Brown needs to pick a side. If he goes full right then he's more than likely going to be out of a job next time around. As for going to the middle, well then, he's a RINO and thus hated by the right wingy dingys. I don't envy him his near future. Better him than me.

#14 Nonsense, neither item you mention is accurate, just GOP talking points that take the worst possible slant on the Bill.

I hadn't heard of that. What are the details? What is the provision called in the bill?

#21 | Posted by vernon at 2010-02-05 07:56 AM

Hey Vern!!!

I wasn't "speculating". See, I was reading a thread, (as in the past) and the posts from Republicans were whining about Brown not being seated, and the Democrats holding up the proccess...

These were all events that happened in the past, so no speculation needed...

I'm glad I could help you comprehend that whole "past, present and future tense" thing...

But, this is a great example of just what I was talking about; Republicans (you) getting all wound up about a non-issue...

You're welcome Vern...

***"Like Palin, Captain asspipe?"

No WizGod, I was actually referring to "issues", or actually "non-issues"...

See, Palin is a politician, (and I do use that term loosely in her case, as is necessary), therefore she wouldn't really fall into this category...

But, thanks for the inquiry, as I am always glad to educate those who are less intellectually inclined than me...

Here's the link detailing out why specialists and surgeons are flat out against this bill. But that's just nonsense, right Corky? How could anyone be against this bill?

Hope you have a high limit on your credit cards cork!

online.wsj.com

Primary-care doctors who refer patients to specialists will face financial penalties under the plan. Doctors will see 5% of their Medicare pay cut when their "aggregated" use of resources is "at or above the 90th percentile of national utilization," according to the chairman's mark of Section 3003 of the bill. Doctors will feel financial pressure to limit referrals to costly specialists like surgeons, since these penalties will put the referring physician on the hook for the cost of the referral and perhaps any resulting procedures.

Sort of like Five Deferment Dick Cheney and AWOL Dubya running wars? You do have a point there.

I know Obama doesn't but does Biden have any military experience?

So you'll knock them double hard for trying to be doctors without the training, knowledge or experience, and for trying to be generals without the training knowledge or experience...

Right?

Oh btw: AP: Obama admits health care overhaul may die on Hill... keeping my fingers crossed

Runnin' and Suckin'!!!

Sen.Scott Brown should have said:"I (might) promise that I won't immediately go down on my knees and greedily "Suck" Corporate America's Flaccid,Poisonous Cock like the Bought & Paid for Wall St."WHORE" that I most surely am....but don't you bet more than a nickle on it ya fuckin' Rube!!!"
