Eighty-three percent (83%) of Americans say the size of the federal budget deficit is due more to the unwillingness of politicians to cut government spending than to the reluctance of taxpayers to pay more in taxes.

Nowhere in the poll is the blame assigned to the Democrats, of course; it's placed squarely on the shoulders of "the politicians" and that means -- ta-ta! -- Democrats and Republicans (a.k.a. The Party of Who? Us? Nope! Never! Had Nuttin' To Do With Nuttin'!)

Way to go Doc! About time you ran from your partisanship. I too blame it on all of Washington. Republicans had a chance and blew it. Democrats promised change finally and blew that without even batting an eye. What about them Dems voting for record spending yet again?

With an unfunded liability (ssn and medicare)of $116 trillion, what we have here is a spending problem.
