Recession, Depression, Progression, what's the difference. Just spend.. spend.. spend..

Democratic National Committee

Spend our way out of recession, it's beautiful!

If it's such a wise idea why haven't we been running deficits that match GDP. 3% of GDP was nothing!

What Jim Clyburn needs is more federal dollars from uncle sugar so he can finally take his rightful place as the man with his name on more shit than Robert Byrd.

What a dick.

He has a Bridge to Nowhere too. But at least it goes somewhere scenic like an air force bombing run.

My favorite article about it is the one from the New York Times, but this one will do since it's not full of suggestions that the opposition to a $25M bridge to connect two towns with a combined population of ~730 is entirely based on white people hating black people.

Here's how we are going to help the govt spend: Remember the Bush tax breaks the many here claim were only for the rich - guess again as your Federal Income Taxes and AMT are going to go back up:

From the article:

"In the 2010 budget tabled by President Barack Obama on Monday, the White House wants to let billions of dollars in tax breaks expire by the end of the year -- effectively a tax hike by stealth."

So, according to this author, the tax hikes proposed, written, passed without a single Democratic vote and signed into law by Republicans is -- wait for it -- Obama's fault.

Amazing, isn't it, the Party of Responsibility actually began talking about responsibility...about a year and a week ago.

yep. and the dems will take all credit/blame (pick your word) for it.

and I know you aren't shocked Danforth.

What a bunch of irresponsible bullshit. We need to audit all forms of government spending, including entitlement programs, and make cuts where necessary. We need to raise taxes accross the board in order to generate revenue. Both things have to happen in order to achieve a balanced budget. Once we have a balanced budget then we can talk about expanding government programs and cutting taxes.
