Statistically, freak accidents happen, but the stupid fucks are the ones that needs to be isolated and disarmed.

It's not unusual for the first kill during Michigan deer season to be a hunter. Enough beer makes orange look brown, I guess.

This happens more often than you'd think.

When I was a paramedic we were called to a scene where a man had attempted to pull his shotgun through the rear door of his car after a hunting trip.

Unfortunately, he chose to remove it by the muzzle and the trigger caught on a coat hanger lying on the seat.

Also, very unfortunately, he had been hunting deer and the gun was still loaded with buckshot.

It definitely wasn't pretty and he definitely wasn't alive when we got there.

The man is actually very lucky that he was hunting fowl. If he wasn't using bird-shot and instead was using deer slugs, he wouldn't be here today. Then again, the dog probably wouldn't have been there either.

If this guy had any smarts, he would have skipped the mutt, had some peon hold the bird down while he shot it, and freed up more drinking time.
