Hamas has brought nothing but more misery to Palestinians. Continuing to fight a war that you've already lost ten times over is about the dumbest thing you can do. Even from a revenge standpoint, making a deal now and building some kind of infrastucture/power base makes much more sense than desperate suicide bombings that only give Israel more reason to hammer Palestinians and take more land.
