Toss always seems to remember a slight. I remember somewhere in the haze of my memory you and him getting into some spat.

Anyway your tone was off and kinda snooty so yeah it would feel hard to try and answer. But I don't want anyone coming away with the wrong idea on this tradition because it is a relatively good one, i.e, sacrificing part of your wealth by turning it into animal meat and distributing it among the poor.

It does have it's tradition in Abrahamic religions. That guy who quoted that Bible verse up there backs that point up. Before the industrial revolution, wealth was always counted in physical commodities like gold, land or cattle. Sacrificing part of it in the service of God (and distributing the meat to the poor) would be a way for a rich person to make sure they don't "tempt fate". And Zardari needs all to keep the fates in his good books constantly. A lot of people are politically gunning for him. If he feels the need to put EVERY odd in his favour, I don't blame him.

And he's rich. Filthy rich. If he turns part of his wealth into food for the poor good.
