Florida Gov. Charlie Crist is tied with Republican challenger Marco Rubio in their primary race for the U.S. Senate, a new Quinnipac University poll of 1,600 Florida voters finds. Rubio, a former House Speaker for the state, leads Crist 47-44 percent in the poll, which is within its 3.8 percent margin of error.

Palin/Rubio 2012!

"What GOP?"

Democrats accross the state are rooting for Rubio.

Like watching who Al Queda is rooting for, we can also watch who the Dems are rooting for, and then vote for the other guy.

Yep. Tea Partiers take Fl and beat McCain in AZ..... Palin and Rubio run as the GOP candidates and then change the Party name in 2013 to the Grand Old Tea Party.

C'mon, GOPhers! Are you going to give up your Party to the lowest denominators?

Will it be Sen Rush and Congressman Hannity? Will Michelle Bachmann be Sec of State?

Otis from the Andy Griffith Show for Sec of Defense?

"Are you going to give up your Party to the lowest denominators?"

Doubtful, we've learned what happens when the Dems follow that strategy.

Must be lonely in that 23 or so percent that hate the Pres, there Jimbo.

Liberals are always complaining that the GOP are all a bunch of white guys. They should love Rubio being in the race as it brings diversity to the party. But instead all they can do is denigrate and criticize him for being to Conservative. Who the hell can understand Liberals. I sure can't.

Corky is still deluded, or still stuck in his daily Grondhog Day marathon.

"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove"

"But instead all they can do is denigrate and criticize him for being to Conservative."

Imagine that, we criticize him for his policy views instead of his skin color. Apparently MEMBER thinks it should be the other way around. Disturbing to say the least Member, are you a closet racist???
Why should his heritage matter???
BTW, we've had Hispanic senators before him so his heritage is not newsworthy here.

On the contrary. I am not closet or any other type of racist. I think diversity in the GOP is great and it will help blow away the myth that Republicans are racists.

Republicans aren't racists but there are many racist Republicans.

"But instead all they can do is denigrate and criticize him for being to Conservative."

Shocking that anyone would base a decision based on views rather than skin color eh?

The Sotomayor hearings are ringing a bell.

I think diversity in the GOP

It's just that you would rather everyone base their decision on his heritage rather than views.

How is that not racist?

People who read the right leaning Rasmussen.... it leans along with it's former GOP hack owner, calling other people delusional?

How precious.

Obama is at 50 percent approval (70 in MA) and only 27 percent (the usual haters) blame him for not finding solutions.

But... it appears you GNOP apologists and Bush voters (twice) should be more worried about the Tea Party taking your candy away from you and pushing you down.

Corky never trusts a poll if it involves typical American taxpayers.

As a Bush voter, have you been bitch-slapped with a wet Teabag, yet?

I thought you would have had it figured out by now, grass-eater: Teabaggers pitch, libs catch. I'm sure there are some websites complete with photos that explain how teabagging works and which one is the teabagger.

Do keep your Favorites list to yerself, 'K?

In my entire life the only person I've ever seen to the "K" thing were teenage girls with big loopy handwriting and who dotted their "I" with a heart. Then I saw spud doing it and I've noticed in the last few weeks that you, being the crowd follower you are, have picked it up.

Hopefully it'll fall out of favor with "cognitive dissonance" soon and you'll stop making yourself look gay.

You'd think he'd have figured out what Obama has been doing to him after a year....

Ah, "Wisgoatman".

Figures.

Pedantic simians separated at birth.

Pedantic simians...

Says the guy with the prehensile oversized coccyx

I like Rubio--seems like a common sense kind of guy.

Did Crist approve the 8 billion or 3 billion for the light rail between Tampa and Orlando???

That alone is cause for being fired..

Hopefully, you'll one day stop corresponding with teenage girls, rig monkey.

My nieces love it when I write to them. So I'm not likely to stop correspnding with them.

Besides, what business is of yours? Hopefully one day you'll get a life of your own and stop trying to live mine for me.

The original linked story claimed that Rubio had surged into the lead. It's not a lead if it's within the margin of error; it's a tie. I wish the media would figure this out.

So, is Rubio the anti-Crist then?

RubiNO now says he would have taken the commie stimulus money from Comrade Obama like Crist did. Seems the conservatives are just embarrassed Republicans who don't like coffee.

& so are some Dems. Once again, proving that you are the stoopidest bitch on the planet.

Yes Crist supported it.

The genius singed off on it saying something to the effect of it being a great project that will bring FL into the future.
We already have trains in Palm Bch & Miami, & guess what, THEY LOSE $$$ every year!

As a FORMER Crist supporter, I will be glad to see Rubio hand him his hat.
The only thing better will be when Grayson gets tossed.

Now, did you read the article or just the headline?

Rubio said that he would have opposed the stimulus bill if he were in the senate, but had the stimulus passed (as it did) & he was the governor, he would have spent FL's "share" responsibly.
I love how you guys are afflicted with selective reading.

"Republicans aren't racists but there are many racist Republicans." ~ Danni

True, no doubt. It's equally true of Democrats. Most people define racism in their minds as "when white people hate black people". Racism is a sword that cuts both ways, and I have met as many 'african-americans' who meet the dictionary definition of racists as I have 'caucasian-americans'.

"This includes: eliminating the Death Tax; eliminating taxes on capital gains, dividends and interest, thereby encouraging greater savings and investment; and making America the most attractive place to do business by lowering corporate tax rates."

If you work for a living then you get to pay taxes but if your investments earn your living Rubio thinks you should live tax free. Isn't that special!
