At least 106 people from the House and Senate attended the Copenhagen Climate Summit -- including spouses, a doctor and a photographer -- and paid $4,406 for food and rooms for two nights at a five-star Marriott, recently filed Congressional expense reports indicate. The group included 15 Democratic Congress members and six Republicans. CBS estimates a total cost of $1.1 million for the trip.

Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., is a key climate change player. He went to Copenhagen last year. Last week, we asked him about the $2,200-a-day bill for room and food.

"I can't believe that," Rep. Waxman said. "I can't believe it, but I don't know."

Buxom blondes feeding you sushi don't come cheap, even in Copenhagen.

Wow, I am impressed.

That's considerably less than Bushs one day trip to Delaware back in 2006.

If you recall, he went there to speak on behalf of a republican candidate when it became apparent that the "Thousand Year republican Rule" fantasy was about to crack ---- not the country.

And for those who are geographically challenged, (the entire Teabagged "right") Delaware is only an hour or so drive from DC.

Once again a Clueless WingDing attempts to shine a negative light on "democrats" spending --- but in the process just shows how free and loose they were with Americas money when still in power.

Can you say "date night" or maybe even "photo op"? Maybe you can say "flowers". You forgot to mention Pelosi and company going to Greenland to witness "global warming" first hand. These and many others are just a tip of the iceberg, on both sides. Oh, sorry...you're having a hypocritical moment....my bad...now what were you saying about clueless wingdings?

"You forgot to mention Pelosi and company going to Greenland to witness, bla, bla, bla"

At least she didn't spend that much flying to a destination that takes less than an hour to drive to from her office.

Clueless Indeed! And Speaks Volumes to your "fiscal" prowess!

and the bill tops $1.1 million dollars

That's considerably less than Bushs one day trip to Delaware back in 2006.

So you're saying that Bush spent more than $1.1 million for a one day trip?

Since the president always travels in Air Force 1, jet or chopper, it would be fair to say, "That's considerably less than Obama's one day trip to MA back in 2010.

At least we agree that you are a idiot in redneckville.

Yes, that's right. Go ahead and look it up.

And for more on Bush's overuse of Air force one at Taxpayers expense, see here:

And here is a link to an article (several) documenting how the "Thousand Year republican Rule" liked to use Tax Dollars to bolster their campaign coffers.

I'm not surprised, cowless. It's only logical that someone of your Fiscal acumen would insist that an international trip costing less than a domestic trip (forget it's just across the bay from DC) is a more egregious and wasteful use of dollars!

I swear you Teabagged WingDings are Just Getting Stupider by the Day!

It's money well spent. It's well worth to spend whatever it takes to keep PelosiReidWaxmanObama out of Washington. It's when they're IN Washington that things get really, really expensive.

"It's money well spent. It's well worth to spend Whatever it takes to keep PelosiReidWaxmanObama out of Washington. It's when they're IN Washington that things get really, really expensive."

YEAH!

Just like in 2003 when the deficit grew faster than all previous 42 administrations Combined
Or like back in 2005 when the Government Grew to the Biggest it's ever been!

Expensive Just Like That?

So Redneckville, are you going to tell us Obama fly's a more effecient Air Force 1 than Bush flew on?

So Redneckville, are you going to tell us Obama fly's a more effecient Air Force 1 than Bush flew on?

President Obama's Air Force 1 is fueled by Hope!

Congress in Denmark?

Does this mean Nancy Pelosi had surgery to become a woman?

PROFLIGATE BASTARDS!

They are not our representatives in Congress anymore. They are our rulers and we, their slaves.

Sort of like that old Republican senator what's his face who went to Copenhagen for about 30 minutes to tell everyone that global warming was a scam by the Weather Channels but nobody there had ever heard of him and just laughed at him? I'm betting him and his staff went on the taxpayers' dollar. And he's one of them there fiscal conservatives.

Red--

You are linking Bush campaign travels with Congress free for all in Denmark??

And you don't think Obama will rack up just as much if not more for the 2010 election and his try at the 2012 re-election??

The repubs spent a boat load--no doubt--but the Dems put them to shame..

The repubs spent a boat load--no doubt--but the Dems put them to shame.

I have always said, and I will say it again, republicans just can't do the math.

If All Else Fails...Keep Wavin' The Flag!!!

Well what do you expect Congress to do - go to Denmark and spend their own "personal money" that they got from Lobbyists? Now just how appropiate would that look!

Pilosi could have flown her broom and saved us a few bucks...

Hey RED -

Are you DEFENDING these turds by saying that there have been other turds in D.C.?

Kind of a dumb ass argument...

How is he having a hypocritical moment. He simply used a similar incident to point out republican hypocrisy on spending.....and then you, like an ass, come along and try to label him a hypocrite?

I'm not so sure you know how this all works.....and I'm not going to tell you as I like to watch you fail.

When it comes to taxpayers footing the bill for outrageous field trips, I recall a certain George Bush landing on an aircraft carrier to announce the end of the war in Iraq which was nothing but another lie to coax even more billions from congress. I wonder how much that stunt cost the taxpayers?

two wrongs make a right.yes i murdered one of the victims but my partner murdered three,so there.

There's something rotten in D. . . .

Nah, too eaasy

Redneck and most of you dumbasses did not read mystertoy's post to begin with. He said Dems and repubs, and said it was to much money that congress spent. Then Redass has to start with the Bush bullshit. They all suck and spend to much money! I also thought that Bush was the example of what not to do, redass says well if bush did it then so can we, what a dumbfuck statement. Bush and the repubs sucked at spending money (or were good at it however you want to look at it) and Obama and dems spend way to much money too. So all of you STFU about who did it worse, they all suck!

That is still LESS than Michele Obama's one day trip to New York to get a haircut, or their little vacation in Hawaii, or their little BBQ at the white house.

I wish every member of Congress had attended...

...then, our entire government could have seen for themselves...

...what a fucking farce this is.

That's considerably less than Bushs one day trip to Delaware back in 2006.

What did it cost for little o to attend the summit? Yhat did it cost for all the airplanes to haul his sorry ass over there? How about his trip to NYC for his "date night"?

Wow, I am impressed.

Dumbassville - the article was about congress not about the president, why dont you look up what the light skinned negro spent to go there. get back to us when you can read and remove your head from your ass...

777 you are dreaming if you think red will do any of that. His job is to be stupid and he's good at it.

I second that.

Then Redass has to start with the Bush bullshit.

----

That's the default reaction. Doesn't matter how much money is wasted...as long as it doesn't equal Bush's waste, it's ok apparently.

Funniest line in the article:

Pelosi's office did offer an explanation for the high room charges. Those who stayed just two nights were charged a six-night minimum at the five-star Marriott. One staffer said, they strongly objected to no avail. You may ask how they'll negotiate a climate treaty, if they can't get a better deal on hotel rooms.

Climate Change.... The hoax of the millenium.
The Socialists now have their cause to finally destroy Capitalism.

Follow the money.....

This is such a non-issue... Did you expect our representatives to stay at the Motel 6 or Holiday Inn?

That's chump change compared to what they were prepared to pay for it!! Which was......

Trillions!!

Hey WISEASS - We did not send these pukes to D.C. to take lavish vacations (yes, vacations) on our dime. They already receive far too many perks. Motel 6 with funds taken from my paycheck is far too good for them.
