Tried to deviate from the agreed flight plan and go after a target we were never told about?

Ba-bye drone.

Don't forget Pakistan was the very first country on Earth to shoot down a drone in 1992. It was an Israeli aircraft remotely flown by stupid Indians.

Now we can add American Predator/Reaper drones to the list.

Of course, we will claim the tribals shot it down... or some accident happened.

We expect full cooperation from the Americans in the future.

No more clever stuff.

Parts of the Reaper will be reverse engineered as well.

I believe that violates copyright laws. You might get in trouble.

Hopefully it has a self destruct mechanism in place so cheap copies don't appear on the market

rwd

I'm sure it has GPS so a followup bang should be in order.

Next time the little savages get a little too big for their britches, we should send them an AGM-88 to "reverse engineer".

Memo to defense department... reduce the radar cross section of these drones if you want to do shady business with them.

I would like to see them parade the drone through the streets.

'I would like to see them parade the drone through the streets.'

It would be blown up by a suicide bomber for sure.

I would like to see them parade the drone through the streets.

They have to stop worshipping it as a fire God first.

Don't worry about it.

It was just a warning. I am sure America will behave from now on and will not change the flight plan in the middle of a joint-op.

As for the wreckage... what wreckage? (wink wink) "Taliban" took the wreckage. (wink wink)

Memo to defense department... reduce the radar cross section of these drones if you want to do shady business with them.

It won't be able to carry Hellfire missiles then.

Thank you, USA.

If we suck so bad, why does everyone want to copy our shit?

You don't have some superior flying camel to use?

Oh, and I've been told it hadn't released it's missiles yet.

Pakistan has two squadrons of drones of it's own. What we really needed to look at were the Hellfires .... these are different and light-weight version of the ones we already have for the Cobra.... and their fire and target systems. Those are... were... top secret.

But now what can anyone do? The "taliban" have those! (wink wink)

I think it's time we get out of the area. Why should we be dying for people that don't want us there? Oh yeah, For some damned TAPI pipeline. It's all economics.

If we suck so bad, why does everyone want to copy our shit?

To make your shit better and cheaper.

Same thing we did with Russian shit.

You don't have some superior flying camel to use?

Superior flying camel blew your drone out of the sky, no?

Anyway, Pakistan insists this little accident is behind us.

The US will resume cooperation with Pak with renewed dedication for a better tomorrow. We will have a great time together as allies.

To make your shit better and cheaper.

Same thing we did with Russian shit.

Uh huh.

Why not just make your own shit?

Superior flying camel blew your drone out of the sky, no?

It was a drone.

I wouldn't think it's too hard to shoot down.

Why not just make your own shit?

We do that as well.

I wouldn't think it's too hard to shoot down.

It isn't hard at all.

It isn't hard at all.

I wouldn't have thought so.

What sort of planes does your air force use?

What sort of planes does your air force use?

American, Chinese, French and Pakistani.

Because of the different kinds we have, the American airforce loves inviting Pak airforce for war games. It gives them access to all the different kinds of aircraft in one event.

The first time a drone was brought down anywhere in the world, was an Israeli (Indian) drone in Pak in 1992.

The plane used in 1992 was an F-7P (Chinese update of Mig-21 with Pakistani avionics and weapons).

www.pafwallpapers.com

www.pafwallpapers.com

www.pafwallpapers.com

The F-7P was also the first plane in the airforce to carry nukes.

That was before we made ballistic and cruise missiles.

Most of the F-7P are to be retired now. A few will be heavily upgraded for deep strike missions, however. They are disposable aircraft.

Your links are giving me a "403 forbidden" message.

Although I see the F-7P is 1960's era design.

Either it was significantly upgraded (why not build something new?) or it was significantly outdated.

What models are currently in use?

Your links are giving me a "403 forbidden" message.

How about now?

Although I see the F-7P is 1960's era design.

The Mig-21 was a 60s plane, yes. It was a no-nonsense plane that was simple and effective... like a "kalashnikov of the sky".

The F-7 was a Chinese copy of the Mig-21... updated with changes to the airframe.

The F-7P and F-7PG were created in the late 80's. The wings were changed to a "double-delta" design making it far more maneuverable. The "P" version (P for Pak) has different systems under the hood compared to the "M" version (which is flown by China) and was for different missions.

These were, as I said, disposable planes (though good ones) and served until we started making bigger and better planes of our own. Which is why they are being retired now.

(why not build something new?)

We did.

or it was significantly outdated.

You will be surprised at what an old design plane can do with new engines and new electronics and new weapons.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. It's being retired.

Notice the "double delta" wing design in the second pic.

You will be surprised at what an old design plane can do with new engines and new electronics and new weapons.

I saw it was a 60's era plane, but as you mentioned above it was in fact significantly upgraded.

In other words I'm sure an old design with new technology would be quite effective.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. It's being retired.

What's the replacement?

What's the replacement?

How can someone people found under a damp rock be any kin of mine?

I am sure he does, but the only way he will get them would be up his bum.

Must be coming from your drone.

Yes...to the constipated.

Yes...to the constipated.

You're right. Shit.

It won't be able to carry Hellfire missiles then.

I'm assuming they're mounted externally if that is the case. Those drones are pretty small No matter... a smaller internally-housed missile can be just as deadly if it is delivered accurately. I'm sure I'm not the only one considering this option.

.....relative to Tosser, it wasn't that bad......

I'm assuming they're mounted externally if that is the case.

They're all mounted externally as far as I can tell.

However there seems to be an issues with weight. Reaper type drones have these big wings and noisy engine for a reason.

Every extra kilo of weight reduces your flight time... sometimes by as much as 2-3 hours.

If/when we arm our drones, they have no time to "loiter" over the target.

So we do something else... send un-armed drone for targeting (or a ground team) and a plane shoots an over the horizon missile (H-4... based on T-Darter)... also called a BVR air to ground missile (Beyond Visual Range) from a hundred miles away that hits the target with no warning. No warning sound, no nothing. Just gone.

a smaller internally-housed missile can be just as deadly if it is delivered accurately. I'm sure I'm not the only one considering this option.

The Chinese seem to have created a very small and light missile for drones only. I don't know if we have looked into that.... but I think we will at some point.

sometimes by as much as 2-3 hours.

And THAT is why, American drones had to take off from either a Pakistani airbase or an airbase close by on the Afghan side.

Even a fully armed Predator/Reaper can't loiter for too long. So it takes off from close by.

Of course, without missiles, it can circle over the target for hours.

Hey TOSSER! Do you think the Paks can reverse engineer the teleprompter? I have one I want to hack into.

I have one I want to hack into.

Does Obama read anything you put on the teleprompter? Are you going to try and pull an Anchorman style stunt?

"Good night, and fuck you America!"

It might take a little longer, but that probably gets the job done nicely, too.

Obama uses teleprompter to talk to kids in school.

No, we don't want to touch this guy's teleprompter. We don't know where it's been.

The teleprompter in school video.

The Anchorman type stunt might even work for this dullard.

It's more devastating than a drone strike.

That's gold.

www.youtube.com

Not MUPSOWs but this gives you an idea.

Btw, who sez it had to be a plane that brought it down?

Pakistan makes man-pads (shoulder launched missiles) which have been proven in the field by shooting down at least two Indian Migs which intruded into Pak.

This never fails.

Right now they use the ANZA-III.

If the "taliban" have got their hands on THAT.... well, you've had it then.

Breaking news.

Second drone shot down

www.brecorder.com

www.brecorder.com

Unconfirmed.

A. So what? We have hundreds more!

B. The serbs did that back in 1995, what took you all so long?

C. How can you verify it was even shot down? It (or even they) may simply have crashed. The US said it crashed. We lose one every couple of months.

www.wired.com

D. Building a substitute? keep trying you've got a very long way to go!

www.cbsnews.com

As the famous comedian Jeffomed Al-Foksworthai once said:

"If you brag about shooting down remote control planes, you might be a dirtneck..."

ROFLMAO

So what? We have hundreds more!

It's the only instrument you have to get "some" leverage over the taliban high command.

When that instrument is blunted.... what else have you got? Nothing.

The serbs did that back in 1995, what took you all so long?

We don't want to shoot down something that is working for us.

It (or even they) may simply have crashed.

Two "crashes" in two days, huh? All in the same area?

Besides, I've got my own sources. No crashes.

Building a substitute? keep trying you've got a very long way to go!

We already have excellent drones... which the US bought from Pakistan to keep watch over the Mexican border.

We just want to know a few teeny-tiny more things about how you do it.

If you brag about shooting down remote control planes

If "someone" suddenly gave the power to the "taliban" to ruin America's grand strategy, it has nothing to do with bragging at all.

It's just limiting your already limited options and making Obama look even stupider than he already looks.

ROFLMAO

"When the white man smiles like a laughing dog, he is actually worried sick and doesn't want the world to know it"... Malcolm X.

I used to work with a guy as a machinest who always said "Reverse engineering" when he was talking about fantasies of starting his own business.I heard it so much I just can't stand the term. Can't we come up with a new term.

machinest=machinist

You have a few loose screws heh?

LOL

'"When the white man smiles like a laughing dog, he is actually worried sick and doesn't want the world to know it"... Malcolm X.'

Yeah, Whitey's got it rough. LOL.

I don't know why people post quotes from someone else thinking there is any weight behind it. The thought posted above really doesn't make too much sense in the first place and is no more prestigious than any other thought coming from any other human being.

"Some other guy had this opinion once" isn't as impressive a point as small minds seem to believe.
