Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden claimed responsibility for the Christmas Day airline bombing attempt in Detroit, in a audio message released Sunday, and vowed further attacks on the U.S. In the recording carried by the Al-Jazeera Arabic news channel, Bin Laden said the attack was a message similar to that of Sept. 11 and more attacks against the U.S. would be forthcoming.

Damn that Obama!

Don't act like Bush didn't trot him out whenever he needed to scare the public or divert attention from his fuckups.

Bin Laden is dead. But his voice lives on as necessary.

I wasn't supposed to tell this, because it's secret, but OBL is Achmed the Dead Terrorist

I Keel You!!!

so if there were no more palestinians, then they wouldn't have anything to fight for? Is that one way to look at what he's saying?

"There was no way to confirm the voice on the audio message was actually that of bin Laden, but it resembled previous recordings attributed to him.

The U.S. says it can't immediately authenticate the message but White House adviser David Axelrod told CNN's "State of the Union" that whatever the source, the message "contains the same hollow justification for the mass slaughter of innocents."

Whatever the source eh? It resembled previous recordings. BS.

You sheeple are being jerked around again.

I thought the little o was going to have OSB in jail by now. I understand there is an open court date for him in NYC.

I thought Bin Laden caused the Quake in Haiti?

Wish He'd crawl out from under his rock and show his face..... if he is even still alive. The American people are not buying this bullsh*t!

"America will never dream of security unless we will have it in reality in Palestine," he added. "God willing, our raids on you will continue as long as your support for the Israelis continues."

If anyone really believes that, I have a nice piece of land for sale just East of Miami at a bargain for you.
These fuckers have been attacking the U.S. before we even WERE the U.S. and long before there was an Israel. Just study some history. Look around, you'll see they are attacking countries who DON'T support Israel. They won't stop attacking us until they are utterly defeated, regardless of how much we apologize, appease, withdraw etc.

"Don't you remember that Chimpy was going to smoke him out and capture him dead or alive..."

WHICH "Chimpy?" The small-eared one or the large-eared one?

WHICH "Chimpy?" The small-eared one or the large-eared one?

The one that needed a team of surgeons to repair his asshole.

"He seems to come back whenever the govt needs him to divert attention."

"Bin Laden is dead. But his voice lives on as necessary."

Other than this being a fashionable line of BS to throw around, is there any reason to continue to say stuff like this? How much attention is Bin Laden really getting? With what news outlet was this a major story? Where are these people who forget issues they were interested in because Bin Laden came out of his cave to say "Ooga-Booga"?

I don't see any convergence at all between this ongoing narrative and reality.

Don't you remember that Chimpy was going to smoke him out and capture him dead or alive before he got sidetracked by Gannon's cock?

I didn't know that chimpy could talk but I do remember Bush saying that. It would have happened if the politicians would let the military do their job without all their stupid rules.

Politicans need to tell the military what their mission is and then step back and watch.

I'm not sure that being enslaved and being brought to the Colonies, and then subsequently fighting the British in the Revolutionary War constitutes Muslims attacking us before we were a country.

But I guess putting them in chains and owning them as property would piss them off enough to do something about it.

Shows you how full of shit you are. They did (and still do) have a military force over their that wasn't (isn't) bound by rules. They were gonna prove that private industry could win a war. That is what Blackwater was all about.
Guess what? You lost the hearts and minds of the people.. not to mention any semblance of moral imperative. Oh yeah.. and lets talk about the well behaved US military following the rules at Abu Grabass and all the good that came from that... I seriously doubt that is an isolated incidence.

The US is not a victim of rules of engagement.. that is not why we can't win this war.

Face the facts the US has not participated in a "victorious war" since WWII... of course we weren't the only ones fighting that one either.

hos, the muslims have been atacking white europeans since 700AD. It started long before the crusades. Just how many of the slaves that were brought over here were muslims? DAMN few, they were capatured by black africans and brought here by the european slave traders. You should try learning a little history before you began spewing.

Sniper, I don't dispute that Mulsims have attacked in Europe. I do dispute that they attacked the Colonies before we became the US. Don't remember ever reading about that, but that statement was in the post I replied to.

"I do dispute that they attacked the Colonies before we became the US. Don't remember ever reading about that, but that statement was in the post I replied to."

Not before. Prety much immediately after we becamse the US, they starting after our shipping and used their religion to justify any number of wrongs against us up to and including enslavement. From the Wiki page for 1st Barbary War:

"In March 1785, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams went to negotiate with Tripoli's envoy to London, Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman (or Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja). Upon inquiring "concerning the ground of the pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury", the ambassador replied:

It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every muslim who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise. He said, also, that the man who was the first to board a vessel had one slave over and above his share, and that when they sprang to the deck of an enemy's ship, every sailor held a dagger in each hand and a third in his mouth; which usually struck such terror into the foe that they cried out for quarter at once. [2] [3]

Jefferson reported the conversation to Secretary of State John Jay, who submitted the Ambassador's comments and offer to Congress. Jefferson argued that paying tribute would encourage more attacks. Although John Adams agreed with Jefferson, he believed that circumstances forced the U.S. to pay tribute until an adequate navy could be built."

One on hand, unbelievably slow to take credit. On the other hand, it is a miraculous feat for the dead.

I thought Bin Laden was a spanish politician?

It's about Israel? Better check out SITE.

Correct. The same war that made Marine Lt. Presley O'Bannon famous and gave today's officers their ceremonial sword. And he wasn't born until 1776.

My reply to jestgettinalong called him on the inaccuracy and illogical nature of his statement, which is that "These fuckers have been attacking the U.S. before we even WERE the U.S."

Why would Bin Laden go out of his way to admit a failed attempt? GEEZ!!

Bin Laden is dead. The official position of the U.S. government should be that 'he's dead unless he legitimately proves otherwise'.

"Bin Laden is dead. The official position of the U.S. government should be that 'he's dead unless he legitimately proves otherwise'."

He might be dead but there is no proof that he is and therefore no more reason to believe he's dead than there is to believe he's alive.

As long as he can inspire his followers, it's as good as if he was alive.

I personally want to give the Bear Jew a crack at him.

yeah Like Jesus and Elvis... only one inspires reckless murder in his name the other one doesn't.

Well, in December 2001, the shoe bomber, was convicted by a U.S. federal court and he is currently serving a life sentence without parole in a super maximum security prison in the United States. Guess the Bush administration considered the second attack on the U.S. should be handled as a civil action. Which I don't understand either why NOW too some folks are so up in arms that there is going to be a trial for Self-proclaimed Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other Guantanamo Bay detainees. Bush ET AL set the legal precedent.

meanwhile my favorite 911 smoking gun is still Sec Mineta's testimony on Cheney's orders during 911 wargames

Mineta's testimony, of course, being a former Japanese prisoner of war because he was a a terrorist back in internment days, clearly show which 2 bipolar races run our corporation ~ I mean ~ country's best interest best & so obviously have our best interests @ heart, too!

A legitimate stance that Osama is dead could be useful. I think it would be better to put the burden of proof upon Al Qaeda, to prove he is alive. Any proof Al Qaeda may attempt to provide as evidence that Osama still breaths could be useful in ferreting Al Qaeda out. I think it has become counterproductive to continue to give Osama the legitimacy of a belief that he is alive, unless they can prove it.

#34 | Posted by Whatsleft

Well said.

The burden of proof should also be put upon the source of this tape. What legitimizes it? Who releases it to the MSM and calls it a valid source? We never know, do we, in the past the videos of OBL were released by a covert Israeli agency, who claimed to be connected. So go figure.

NPIDH. No pix - it didn't happen.

BBC: Al Qaeda NEVER Existed!

by Len Hart, The Existentialist Cowboy

The BBC had revealed that Al Qaeda is a creation of US propaganda, in fact, a term never used by Bin Laden until after 911. The implications of the BBC documentary are enormous. It means that the US government of George W. Bush is guilty of the crimes of mass murder, high treason with respect to 911 and war crimes with respect to the mass murder of Iraqi civilians who had nothing whatsoever to do with 911. The specific crimes are violations of U.S. Codes, Title 18, Section 2441 which prescribes the penalty of death for violations thereof!

They won't stop attacking us until they are utterly defeated, regardless of how much we apologize, appease, withdraw etc.

I think letting him escape, forgetting we are at war with him and, instead, invading a country he had nothing to do with would be a great idea to Accomplish the Mission. Maybe even inviting him to set up franchises there, sort of asking him to "bring it on", if you will, could prove effective and cheap. $40 billion, tops, experts suggest.

And, of course, escorting his bankers home after a devastating terrorist attack always is a good path to victory. Maybe even selling them a big chunk of a news outlet to rally the gullible into ignoring him.

Hannity Says Bin Laden Sounds Like Democrats - Twice
Reported by Ellen - September 8, 2007 -

Perhaps at a loss as to how to spin the new video of Osama Bin Laden in favor of President Bush, Sean Hannity decided he'd use it to attack his fellow Americans. The self-styled "Great American" proved just what kind of patriot and freedom lover he truly is by twice likening Democrats to Osama Bin Laden. Is there any partisanship more despicable? Take action! With video.

The "Christmas Bomber" Had No Passport and Special Permission
We all have been hearing about the man who allegedly "trained with Al-Queda" and tried to blow up a Northwest flight from Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Detroit, Michigan. What you are not hearing about is that a Michigan man (who was on-board that flight with his wife and has now been verified on passenger manifests and ticket stubs) claims that this suspect was allowed on the flight with special permission from a "sharp dressed man" because the suspect had no passport.

As usual, the government/corporate-
controlled mainstream media is not giving you the whole story. Check the following articles:

Gates Pledges "Steady Growth in the Pentagon's Budgets"

Defense Secretary Robert Gates hosted a meeting with the nation's top defense company executives Wednesday, stressing the need for a closer partnership with them and pledging to work with the White House to secure steady growth in the Pentagon's budgets over time, according to his spokesman.

Gates's meeting was part of a day-long session between Deputy Defense Secretary William Lynn, Pentagon acquisition chief Ashton Carter and the Aerospace Industries Association, the top trade group for American aerospace firms. The heads of the nation's top two defense firms Lockheed Martin and Boeing attended, said Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell.
