Throughout the Massachusetts Senate race, Democrats have tried to tie Republican candidate Scott Brown to Sarah Palin, to Rush Limbaugh, to any figure on the right who might be unpopular with the state's critically important independent voters. So far, they haven't had much luck.

But Brown, a state senator who until recently was not exactly a household name, faces questions about his political philosophy wherever he goes. "You've been called everything from a conservative to moderate to liberal Republican," a reporter asked him at a campaign appearance last week. "Would you like to set the record straight?"

Anybody see Doug Flutie up on stage celebrating with the Brown family last night?

Obama is gonna have to man up and represent the folks who voted for him. Those who crossed the aisle to vote for Brown are telling him that he can not take the progressives for granted.
The old saw "they have to vote dem caus they have nowhere ele to go" is obviously no longer valid.

If you dont want to lead us where we want to go, Mr. Pres, we will find a way to show you we will not be ignored.

All the comprimising on health care looks more like a sell out than a negotiated comprimise. He gave up the store and got jack shit in exchange for his trouble.

I guess your point, nanc, is that at least some Democrats and Independents will place country above party. Always good to see. While they will likely appreciate your praise/thanks, I wonder when we might see more examples of reciprocation...
