A new poll shows that US President Barack Obama would lose a reelection contest against a generic candidate just one year after his inauguration.

Just one year after his inauguration, and America is willing to settle for almost anybody else at the helm. Heckuva job, OBrownie. Isn't Conan looking for employment?

What a bunch of nonsense, many voters choose what they call "the lesser of two evils" when voting, if you don't know who the other candidate is they will almost always say they will vote against the incumbent. BTW, I never heard of this poll before so I have a hard time believing it has any credibility at all.

Wow! Danni just called Obama "evil". There might be hope for you yet.

McCain. Palin. Jimmy Carter. Cheney. Bush. Me. The mailman. Your bartender. Joe Lieberman. The perfume girl at Macy's. Zippy the WonderChimp. Corky. Sonny Bono's rotting corpse.

Anybody is preferrable to 1/2 of the country right now, when compared to Barankrupt Obama.

compared to Barankrupt Obama.

Coffee out nose flag!

I agreee with Danni that Obama is an evil, but certainly not the lesser when compared to almost anyone else.

I'm stealing that!

I agree that Ted Offensive is an ignorant tool but probably not the dumbest on the planet.

Come on Danni! That's a little extreme don't you think. Incompetent, wrong headed, Marxist yes, but evil. That is a little extreme, even from you.

Jackass, they'd rather have your lazy dojo-lizard socialst ass in charge than Barry right now.

Paul Ryan in 2012!

Ted O'Coward they would never your incompetent ass in office.

An All-State poll of 1200 people found out wot now?

LOL.

Be Well.

Strange bedfellows.

To put this into historical context, Gallup's Lydia Saad notes that:

Obama's initial approval rating in his second year as president is among the lowest for elected presidents since Dwight Eisenhower. Only Ronald Reagan -- who, like Obama, took office during challenging economic times -- began his second year in office with a lower approval score (49%). However, Obama's disapproval rating is slightly higher than Reagan's was (44% vs. 40%).

"New Poll Shows Obama Losing Election To 'Some One Else'"

Too bad none of the Stewballs in the GOPer stable were matched up against him in the poll. Results might've been more interesting with such contendahs as Willard Romney, Sarah "I Quit!" Palin, Huckleberry, Pawlenty Who?, Holeeeeeey Keeeeriest Barbour, and Jiggy Jindal in the mix.

I'd love to see a poll where they asked the question:

Would you rather vote for the people who created the economic disaster or for the people who are struggling to fix it???

Would you rather vote for the people who brought you two wars and tax cuts for rich people or the people who are trying to fix that too???

People often take their frustrations out by saying they'll vote for "None of the above" or "the other one" or "someone else." You don't get into serious nut-cutting time until the choice involves not just the incumbent and an opponent to be named later but the incumbent's name positioned against that of another human being. Then some critical thinking might enter the picture, assuming critical thinking's involved.

For example, "Would you be willing to vote for someone other than Barack Obama for President in 2012?" is a question of one type.

"Would you be willing to vote for Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour for President instead of Barack Obama in 2012?" is a substantially different question. (You'd need to have another question in there, something along the lines of, "Do you have any idea who the hell Haley Barbour is?")

And she said she would vote against a candidate she knew nothing about. It's a miracle I tell you, a miracle.

There's no shortage of ObamaFaith among the DR lefties, that's for sure. The rest of us just don't believe hard enough.

I'm trying! Gobama! You da man! Any day now, I expect his trickle-down-by-starting-with-
big-investment-banks strategy to start paying off.

Not true. She knows he would be running against Obama, and that makes him more evil. See? He's a Democrat.

Quick question Danni--if you lived in Barney Frank's district, would you vote to send him back to Washington?

Since we are playing hypotheticals...

If you lived in Randy Duke Cunninghams district, would you vote to send him back?

Would you vote for Bush again?

Nope. I voted third party in 2008. I wouldn't even vote for McCain.

Would you re-elect Barney Frank, 726?

This is the Thread that Shows how the Wingdings Run Around with their Finger in the Air Despite the Years of them Swearing to God Otherwise..

Remember the "Governing by Poll" garbage?

Looks like it's the very same folks who said bush shouldn't "Govern based on Polls" are demanding obama "Govern based on Polls".

Just more of their Closely Held Principle being put into practice.

Not me. Obama is more invested in his own indispensibiility than he is in ours. Which can only be good for his opponents. Gobama! Don't listen to the polls! The righteous 28% is still with you!

"Obama is more invested in his own indispensibiility than he is in ours."

I really think that is nonsense, his long consideration of the plan for Afghanistan attests to his disregard of public opinion (including his own base) and his willingness to do what he actually thinks is right. I don't agree with everything he has done but I think he is trying to be the best president he can be....even if he ends up as a one term president, which he has already expressed a willingness to be if necessary.

If Bernanke raises interest rates before 2012, which most people think he will then that will pretty much prove Obama's true intent. Greenspan kept rates low until after 2004 specifically to insure Dubya's reelection and allowed the housing bubble to grow despite warnings from many economists so I think that is a valid way to evaluate the true nature of a president.
Obama could have asked Bernanke to step down and then appointed someone more willing to help him politically.

Tears to my eyes.

If Obama had not gotten an ear transplant from H. Ross Perot, he would be doing better in the polls.

"If Obama had not gotten an ear transplant from H. Ross Perot, he would be doing better in the polls."

Oh oh...you are on the verge of being called a racist because of that "ears" reference. Better cool it....our little friends think that's politically correct ONLY if it's directed at Bush.

I liked little Ross Perot. He was fun. My fav line from Perot, 'Now lookey here, the devil's in the details'.

Obama is surely vulnerable. He brought it on himself playing footsie with the Great Unwashed who won't enter his big tent no matter what he does; they jes' want Da Niggah out of the White House. But the good guys have a secret weapon: that the Party of No has NObody who could even come close. herm

The bowel movements are now relying on IRANIAN 'news' sites for their bullshit.

It there no low to which the scrotum aficionados will not stoop to? Apparently not.

Get a life, losers. And I do mean LOSERS!!!
